Pros:

지원들 모두 친절했고, 새로 지어서 료칸 전체적인 인/익스테리어는 깨끗하고 고급스러웠습니다. 작은 정원도 이쁘게 꾸며져 있었으며, 객실내 온천탕도 매우 만족스러웠습니다. 음식의 양이나 질도 훌륭했고, 아이들이 있어 룸서비스로 신청했는데, 쉐프가 직접 와서 초밥도 쥐어주는 점은 매우 인상 깊었고 감사했습니다.

Cons:

시설, 친절함, 맛있는 음식 모두 만족스러웠지만, 가격을 생각하는 순간 불만족으로 선택을 할 수 밖에 없었습니다. 료칸 전체의 부지도 매우 작고, 정원의 크기도 아주 작았고, 공용 온천의 부재(객실내 작은 탕만 존재), 비교적 좁은 객실 간격, 그리고 유후인 좋은 입지는 이미 신축할 자리가 없어서 그런지 상당히 외각에 위치한 점 등을 감안한다면, 이 가격은 과하다고 생각이 듭니다. 유후인 인근 더 넓은 부지를 갖고 있으며, 더 넓은 객실 간격과 전통적이고 깨끗하며 정원도 이쁜 고급 료칸들도 많이 있는데, 그런 곳들도 가격은 절반 이하인 점을 감안하면 가격 대비 만족도는 아쉬웠습니다. 가격만 합리적으로 조정된다면(-30% 이상) 훌륭한 현대식 료칸이 될 것 같습니다.

清潔でバトラーさんも丁寧で良かったです。

Cons:

専属バトラーと聞いてたけどコロコロ変わって専属バトラーとは言わない。

バトラーの事前やり取りと若干だが違った。

キャンドルのライターがガス切れでつかなかった。

湿気なのがリビングの天上が結露が沢山付いてて落ちてきそうなほどだった。

From the moment we arrived at Yufuin station, our stay at Gekkoju was an absolute dream. This is, without a doubt, the most luxurious resort-style hotel I have ever experienced in Japan.
​Our experience began with the incredible staff member, Divas, who was waiting for us at the station to whisk us away. Divas is truly amazing and deserves a raise! Arriving at the property, we were mesmerized—it is truly beautiful. Divas then took the time to professionally and kindly explain every single room amenity, the schedule, and all available services in our suite.
​The luxury continued with spa staff members meeting us for an in-suite treatment, which was also flawless. Our suite was already welcoming with a record player on and an insane array of luxurious amenities. Don't even get me started on the snacks and minibar—I instantly wanted to hoard everything!
​The dinner was an experience I almost want to keep secret! The modern delicacy, utilizing fresh local ingredients, was catered perfectly to our age group. It was easily the best Kaiseki meal I have ever had. Again, Divas professionally prepared and explained every single part of the dish. Did I mention the thoughtful gift of our own name-engraved chopsticks? Breakfast the next morning was equally flawless.
​Divas went above and beyond, providing seamless transportation, picking us up and dropping us off everywhere we went. I am honestly regretting not taking the chance to stay another night here instead of going to Kamenoi Bessou, as I hear the second-night dinner is at the restaurant itself!

門を通った瞬間から特別な空間時間を
過ごせて、何一つ至らない点がございませんでした。一つ一つ丁寧に逆に学んで帰ったくらい程、建物からスタッフさんすべてに楽しくリラックスができて感謝してます。
次は檜のお風呂のお部屋をお邪魔したいです。本当にありがとうございました。

Exceeding expectations. The staff was very helpful and accommodating to our needs and requests. The luxury of this place cannot be overstated. Perfectly appointed villa, private en-suite hot springs tub with a view of Yufu mountain and delicious breakfast and dinner spreads served in your villa… not to mention the in villa massages.
Totally worth the cost. If you’re planning a trip to Yufuin, this is one of the best places to stay.
