Gibos Cave Hotel

An incredible, lovely and unique experience. A must visit for anyone looking to live the “cave life” while visiting Cappadocia. A clean, comfortable, and well decorated place. Unlike other hotels these rooms are true to the originals caves ancient peoples lived in but with all the modern amenities (and very comfortable beds)! A truly remarkable experience I will recommend to anyone visiting the region.

The owners were amazing! Very helpful, breakfast was delicious. The room was spectacular. This was by far my favorite hotel on my trip.

Our hosts were absolutely wonderful! We stayed at Gibos for four nights and the home-cooked Turkish breakfast was superb every day. We were offered excellent recommendations on hikes, dinner options (Sinasos Wine House), and they made our hot air balloon ride reservations for us with a great company (we normally don’t do those kind of activities, but it was incredible!). We felt like family friends by the time we left. Do not hesitate to stay here if you would like an authentic cave hotel experience. Such a unique hotel!

La struttura è incantevole, siamo arrivati la sera e la sorpresa di trovarci in un luogo tanto magico ci ha lasciato senza parole. L’albergo è scavato nella roccia e consente di vivere un’esperienza unica e suggestiva.
La nostra camera era pulita e accogliente e lo spazio comune fuori, semplice, rustico e ben curato, consente di godere di bei momenti di relax davanti ad una tazza di tè.
Una menzione particolare ai titolari che sono estremamente gentili e accoglienti, é stato un piacere conoscerli e chiacchierare con loro. Molto buona la colazione.

Kapadokya Kültür Yolu kapsamında çıktığımız bu yolculukta, bir gece Mustafapaşa’da yer alan Gibos Otel’de konakladık. Bizim için son derece keyifli ve huzurlu bir deneyim oldu.

Otelin doğal yapısının özenle korunmuş olması, yatakların rahatlığı ve ortamın dinlendiriciliği bize gerçekten iyi geldi. Sabah kahvaltısında sunulan lezzetli ve taze ürünler ise güne harika bir başlangıç yapmamızı sağladı.
Güler yüzlü ve samimi misafirperverlikleri için Gibos ailesine gönülden teşekkür ederiz. Böyle özel bir mekânı bu kadar özenle işletiyor olmaları takdire şayan.

It is the cave experience we were looking for. The updated and modernized bathroom was a welcome comfort. The bed mattresses and sheets were comfortable. We all had a very goodnight sleep every night.

Warm and hospitable hosts make you feel like you are at home. Amazing rock cave rooms with traditional decor and authentic architectural features. Quiet and relaxing environment that allows you to connect with the historical past of this town. Unlike the over touristy nearby towns of the region, Mustapasha is a true gem worth discovering.

The place is truly amazing, like from a fairy tale; Has secret passages, tunnels, nooks, is decorated with taste and love. The owners are passionate about the history of Cappadocia and Mustafapasa and are eager to share their ppassion. They are kind and speak sufficient English to communicate ( which is rare in Turkey).
Breakfast is on a light side so we always asked for extra bread and brought some fruits with us and we were fine.
The only complain is that when we asked the owners for a good place for dinner we were taken to a super expensive roof top hotel restaurant where we were the only guests... Also the wine in the hotel is very expensive.
All in all I recommend this place. It's like staying in a museum or being transfered to a fairly tale. During our stay we peeked in some other cave hotels but none offered even remotely similar experience.

I liked everything about Gibos and I wish I spent more time in this place and region. The ultimate highlight for me is Adin and Hatice and their exceptional hospitality that is equal to being like their family. We had a good time together with the other guests: enjoying beer, tea and snacks at the terrace and the daily complete and homey breakfast in the cave dining room. We also went out for a walk with our hosts and other guests to see the highlights of Mustafapaşa. In the evening, we got to play musical instruments and sing songs on the guitar. Adin also has been very helpful at getting us slots for last minute hot air balloon rides. We stayed in another hotel in Göreme, but I left my heart in Gibos!

We cannot praise Gibos enough! Our stay was absolutely PERFECT! If you are looking for a genuine, authentic and wonderful stay in Cappadocia this is it!

Mustafapasa is the hidden gem of the area, we spent two days exploring it and fell in love, the valleys are PACKED with incredible caves, churches and trails! By far our favourite spot over Goreme, Uchisar, Urgup, Avanos.

The hosts were amazing. They prepared Turkish breakfast and dinner for us. Felt like im with the family. They are very nice with all the guests.

Of my ten-day trip in Turkey staying at this hotel was one of the highlights. It was very authentic and friendly and the couple who run the place are wonderfully knowledgeable about its history so staying there was like an attraction in itself. We spent the morning hearing stories about the caves, learning backgammon and playing music with the collection of instruments the owners had. The cave room I was in was very comfortable and the bathroom was excellent with a powerful shower that was much welcomed after staying in cheap hostels and camping for a week. The room had a nice view of the valley and the terrace was nice to sit on and look at the stars at night.
My friend and I were initially unsure about staying in Mustafapasa due to being quite far out from Goreme and the other towns but it was well worth it. It was very quiet and peaceful and we could get around just fine with taxis that the owners helped us to organise.

It has been a great pleasure staying at Gibos Hotel. The rooms/caves are absolutely beautiful and each of them unique. Also super comfortable and clean. The owners are interested in sharing information about the region and very kind and hospitable. The whole place is well made to either just relax at the property or explore the surrounding area.
