Pros:

Nos gustó todo.. la ubicación es excelente, donde empieza el casco histórico.. nosotros fuimos en auto y el hotel te da un permiso para entrar a la zona ZTL y dejar las maletas y después dejar el auto en el estacionamiento que está a 200 mts y luego volver a entrar a recogerlas en el check out
Está rodeado de bares y restaurantes..
La habitación es hermosa con un pequeño balcón hacia la calle, luminosa , cama súper cómoda , un hotel prolijo , limpio y con un balcón terraza donde se va toda la ciudad de matera.. realmente una postal de noche y de día..
El desayuno excelente. ..
Rocco, el dueño, es súper amable y está en todos los detalles..
Y tiene ascensor!

Nice, because of the room

Loved the location and the room was comfortable

Cons:

The breakfast consisted of boiled eggs everyday, no scrambled or fried eggs. No hot breakfast. Very poor selection of pastries etc. Staff was very rude when I asked if I could have a fried egg, and snottily said this is an Italian breakfast.

Great hotel in the center of town with a great staff.
Pros:

The breakfast was very good. It was in a small space but it had everything you needed for a satisfying breakfast. The staff were very nice, helpful and pleasant. If I return to Matera, I would stay at this lovely hotel

What’s not to love?!?
Pros:

We made the best choice! It was difficult making a choice of hotels, the end we decided on Lo Stemmo because of it’s location near the car garage and its proximity to the main piazza. We were amazed at how perfect this small hotel is. Sparkling clean, views over the Sassi from the terrace, beautifully designed through out. Our room was spacious with a gorgeous ceiling, comfy beds, top of the line linens and towels, plenty of storage and a fantastic shower. Lots of natural light and a nice balcony. And what about the technology - the tv is in the mirror! It has a much appreciated elevator - much needed after walking up and down steps all day. If you are lucky enough to get a room here you will be happy as a clam.

A gem in the south, made Matera even more enjoyable!
