Motif Nashville's Hotel on Music Row

Just finished a 3 night stay at the Motif hotel in Music row and would not recommend this hotel to anyone. For starters I was met with an unkind receptionist who seemed to be annoyed and frustrated with me as I was trying to check in. Secondly throughout our entire stay there was a loud banging noise coming from the ceiling and floor above us constantly and even woke me up at night. And another thing, they say they have a reliable shuttle to take you to and from broadway but this is just not the case. Every time I called the front desk to reserve the shuttle they would tell me it will be 10-15 minutes and then I end up waiting 45 minutes every time. Just seemed very disorganized and unfriendly.

Majority of the staff were great, however one young man was unhelpful with the shuttle into Broadway. All information says to book the shuttle in advance, when we asked him he said there’s no need and the shuttle starts at 10am, we waited downstairs for the shuttle the next morning and even checked again that morning if it would be there at 10am, to which he said to wait outside, we did.. and it never came, we obviously had to book like we thought. When collecting our luggage at check out, we then had to wait 20 minutes for it as he lacks time management to quickly unlock a door for us to collect, 3 other staff including management were standing around that could’ve helped other guests either check in or check out, or simply assist with our luggage. All other staff were amazing and always had a smile, hello and have a great day personality.

The fixtures in the room were kind of janky. You can tell the place was put together fast. The bedroom has no windows which was a bit unsettling.

Not very many restaurants nearby, but a short uber trip to downtown.

You could hear a person above walking in the morning a lot.

The pool was very dirty. The water was cloudy and I was unable and had no desire to use it after seeing the uncleanliness of the pool.

Valet wasn’t clear and there’s a limit to vehicle size. However street parking is significantly cheaper

The entrance is kind of hidden and not really close to the valet parking. Their valet parking garage is only 6' tall so no trucks, vans, or suv's. You have to pay to park on the road or ally and walk to the hotel.

The furniture is hard as a rock. No comfort at all! No extra blankets. The pictures of the property look a lot better than it was. The property is not really walkable at all. Nothing next door (ie coffee spot or dining).

Freezing lobby

Loved the pool but it was quite cramped with the sun beds, not much room to walk around them.

NO SAFE in rooms. Pool is very shallow (not swimable) & the pool was very dirty. Room have barely any storage for your clothes etc (4 hangers & 2 drawers that's all). Only a few normal TV channels, no netflix / radio etc.

If you want to sleep, go to a different hotel. There’s some sort of metal gate or fire exit that slams shut with great noise (if you’re in room 115) and the place is like a Greyhound bus terminal - I counted eight times I was woken last night between 3am and 5am. I couldn’t sleep and will never go back to this hotel.

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like.
