Cloudy International Apartment

Very impressive service, got a free upgraded to a big family suite and location is very good. Close to food and local shops.

Overall, we were happy with our selection of Cloudy. It is relatively near the bustling pedestrian street and tons of shopping and restaurants. The metro is underneath the hotel. Complimentary bottles of water are available for each day we were here. The cleaning crew was attentive and helpful. We aren’t sure what to think about our room however. It was clean and spacious, the bed was firm just the way we like it. There is a kitchen, but no pots, pans, plates, or silverware. And the sofa and chair were worn. Guess it was alright for the value.

The room and bathroom were a big disappointment. Bathroom was dirty and the room was not clean.

The bed linen was clean though.

Staying at cloudy apartment was riddled with small inconveniences that made the overall experience negative, especially for a family of 5. On the first day, we were greeted by a puddle of water on the floor. We also had only 2 towels and other items for our group of 5. Wifi for foreigners without a Chinese number required assistance from staff. We dealt with the puddle ourselves, but asked the front desk for help with the towels and wifi. It took several hours and multiple requests before they assisted. The staff were courteous. The room had a washer but no dryer and not a lot of hanging space. There were no outlets or table surface near the beds. There was a small kitchenette but no plates, pans, or cutlery. We also noted that the bathroom door was a sliding door without a lock. Worst yet, there was a pretty sizable gap to see through. I know China often has these types of bathroom doors, but it is unacceptable for a room to accommodate 6 people. The shampoo was in a container that was hard to dispense. The list goes on.

The remaining days we stayed were better overall, but I would not stay here again in the future. I would say the location is probably the best feature of this hotel since it is near a subway station. The price is also attractive, which is why my rating remains 3 stars.

The location is faultless as it’s in A Mall on top of Gongyuanqian metro station, and very walkable to Beijing Lu with lots of dinning options. But the apartments themselves are in need of refurbishment - wallpapers falling down, water stains in places. What’s most annoying is that the apartments are not smoke free, and many guests smoke indoors.

Convenient location near food and shopping. Good value for money.

Hotellet ligger midt i sentrum av Guangzhou, med mange spisesteder i nærheten, noe som gjorde det enkelt å finne god mat i gåavstand. Personalet var veldig behjelpelige og imøtekommende, selv om ikke alle snakket engelsk – de gjorde sitt beste for å hjelpe oss. En ekstra pluss var sjåføren som kjørte oss til flyplassen tidlig om morgenen – svært serviceinnstilt og pålitelig. Vi anbefaler absolutt å bestille taxi gjennom hotellet dersom du reiser på natten. Alt i alt et veldig bra opphold!

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We bought things that was sent to the hotel before we arrived. They were so helping us locate the items.

Complicate to find the place at first as the same building and address is shared with several other hotel companies. Even the reception had two different company names on it.

Emplacement et environnement parfaits. Le seul bémol a été qu’ils ont voulu me donner un logement moins confort que celui que j’avais réservé mais après contestation, j’ai pu avoir un qui était bien mieux que le précédent. En dehors de cet incident, tout le séjour a été correct. Et le service du personnel plus attentionné…
