Nice stay in a room with mountain view
Pros:

Location was great for us. It was literally the last hotel on the Banff strip but this allowed us to have our steps in. There are petrol station and co-op across the street. There is Sudden Sally restaurant in the hotel where we ate breakfast. Very tasty and very big portions. Our room with the balcony and Mountain View was on the 6th floor in building B. Absolutely beautiful views, worth every penny. We had two double beds as it was cheaper and they were comfortable. Bathroom was nice with good shower and amazing toiletries. There was a kettle in the room. Parking was free and plenty spaces however we were off season.

Cons:

I very rarely give negative reviews but when I do it is when “the basics” are not provided as I would expect. Two things: you need to order your tea and coffee to the room. It can be ordered through an ordering slip when you leave it by the kettle but only between 9am and 10am. This did not work for us as we were still in bed and I didn’t want the housekeeping at that time. So you had to ring the reception for the coffee and be very specific how much you want. I understand the “no waste” policy and I support it but this did not work for us especially when we were staying there 5 nights. Eventually, I went to the reception and asked them to give me enough coffee and tea until the end of our stay so I didn’t have to ask for it every time. The second thing: we wanted our room to be cleaned after we left for the day after 12pm. We removed the “privacy” sign. We returned around 8pm and the room was not cleaned. This was confusing for me as the day before it was cleaned.

Nothing superior about noisy stay
Pros:

Staff, hot tub, bus pass, Sudden Sally

Cons:

Superior King Suite. Very noisy with loud talking and banging doors until 1:30am from fellow guests. Lack of privacy. We had to keep blinds down as we looked directly into opposite rooms/balconies and vice versa. Could listen to conversations from balconies opposite. Room hot so had to sleep with door and window open adding to night noise and trains

Excellent family hotel and the food was Amazing as well as the cocktails!
Pros:

The Hotel was amazing, staff very friendly, food was to notch, lunch, breakfast and dinner! My only recommendation is a heavier blanket for sleeping, the very think topper was not enough. Perhaps keeping heavier blanket on the bed or in the drawer is recommended, kids used robes for extra warmth, as did I!

Cons:

Coverlet on bed too thin, need more substantial blanket rather than cranking the heat.
