Pros:

The hotel was lovely. The staff especially in the restaurant were great. The food for both dinner and breakfast was great.

Our stay was quite disappointing. We doubt if we will come here again.

Cons:

Having to go to the 1st floor. We asked for an accessible room. My wife is severely disabled and suffers with claustrophobia so she couldn't use the lift. We asked for a ground floor room but none were available. We had no problem when the property belonged to Premier Inn, where we enjoyed several stays.
2. Some members of staff in the restaurant were a bit slapdash; for example, we went to the bar to ask for a table for dinner. We were shown to a table and given menus. We waited for someone to take our order for quite a long time. Eventually I went to the bar where the staff were lounging around doing nothing but talking. They apologized saying they forgot we were there, But their attitude didn't show it.
3, The shelves supporting the ornaments in the restaurant could do with dusting or even a polish.
