Pros:

Heerlijk hotel met een fijn zwembad en een fantastisch restaurant. Een stukje lopen de berg op van het dorp maar prima te doen. Heerlijk warme douche!

Cons:

Onze kamer was wat klein met een stapelbed.

A glorious, comfortable stay in superb countryside
Pros:

We loved the views of the countryside and its proximity to the small waterfall in the river which was great to swim in. The staff were very friendly

Beautiful stay near Minca
Pros:

Really beautiful property - my friend and I enjoyed sitting in the dining area or by the pool and watching the birds and surrounding jungle. On several occasions we sat and enjoyed the view for hours at a time. Our room felt very clean. Unfortunately we had food poisoning (NOT from La Veranda - from somewhere else in Minca) and the staff helped us get snacks and pedialyte delivered and brought rice to our room when we asked which was a blessing.

Cons:

The staff helped us with everything we asked; however, sometimes it felt like we were a burden for asking. When the wifi was working, it was super fast and could support streaming, but it didn’t work during our whole stay. Also, the water at the whole property wasn’t working for about an hour, which wouldn’t have been a big deal expect it was when we had then aforementioned food poisoning

Mooi eigen huis met airco, prachtige zonsondergangen
Pros:

We hadden de jungle house geboekt. Prachtig eigen huis met veel privacy, maar toch de gezelligheid van een hostel. Goede airco en prachtig uitzicht vanaf de veranda op de jungle.
Eten was fantastisch (beste eten tijdens onze reis) en heel aardig personeel.
Alle eten/drinken werd genoteerd via een armbandje en aan einde verblijf afgerekend. Heel handig.
In restaurant-deel eind middag zicht op prachtige zonsondergangen boven zee/Santa Marta.
Zou er graag weer verblijven.

This hotel is great. The views are unbelievable, the food served in the restaurant is exceptionally good, and the pool area was lovely. We had a private room (no. 6) and it was great; good AC and a strong ceiling fan. The staff are kind and helpful, and there was a nice atmosphere throughout. There is also a lovely spa right next door (literally a 1 minute walk) and a delicious pizza restaurant a 3 minute walk away, if you're looking for a break from the main restaurant.

Cons:

The walk to the main town of Minca is a bit of a hike. Also, obviously not a fault of the hotel, but make sure you bring bug spray. We got absolutely destroyed with bug bites.
