Pros:

Very nice property with friendly staff, although they could be a bit overwhelmed in the kitchen when busy.

I would describe it as "rustic luxury." I don't mind giving up a few comforts, but the cold showers were probably the toughest thing to get used to.

A beautiful place to stay, with the best staff. Everybody was so friendly! We even got a free upgrade on the second night to a beautiful suite, thank you! The pool is nice and refreshing. They have 2 trails going down to a river, we didn’t swim there but it was beautiful. Every night there is a movie playing outdoors, on comfortable, private cabañas.
The area is quite touristy, a lot of things to do, and very beautiful and tropical. Hot and humid! We loved the town of Doradal, we ate 2x at ‘Donde el Italiano’, authentic Italian food. Highly recommended! We did not go to Rio Claro or the Hacienda Napoles, we did not have time or energy. But we definitely want to go next time!
