This was a really comfortable, elegantly designed hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The facilities were great and everything was perfectly clean. The hotel is in a great location for the town of Southampton. The breakfast was amazing and it was a lovely gesture to have free snacks and soft drinks in the minibar. Thank you to Sophie for the restaurant recommendations beforehand and to Mandice for looking after us during our stay.

Everything. Poor cleanliness, no bar or restaurant. Very poor breakfast. Was told on two mornings they did not have sufficient produce. Three options to choose from and ran out of salmon. No amenities for residents. You could not even get a sandwich made after a long day out.
The rooms were not cleaned properly daily. We had no shower gel for two days only we had bought our own. Young inexperienced staff serving breakfast and also the cleaners.
Clearly charging a fortune but paying non experienced staff.
Waited 50 minutes for breakfast and we were under pressure to get a taxi that particular morning.
My daughter’s room had an opened can of water from a previous resident and her bins were not emptied from previous resident either. I did complain.

Was not what we paid for. We had a problem with air conditioning room was 28 degrees. We spoke to reception who said they would take a look. On our return nothing changed. Very hot and windows would not open more than a few inches. No one on reception. So did not sleep. No one on reception in morning either. When we wrote to hotel to complain and request a partial refund did not even get a reply. We phoned a week later and were informed our email was being reviewed by one of the Directors. Still no reply today 10 days later. Indicating poor customer focus.

It was a really nice boutique hotel, the decor was beautiful. The bed and pillows were comfortable, it was a nice room.
There wasn’t much atmosphere in the hotel, the breakfast was not great. Not good for a five star hotel. Especially for the money we paid.
