Hotel was excellent however the area was a let down not much to do. Better to stay in st gillen or mondsee

The hotel is an older building that has been renovated. Our room was surprisingly spacious – it seemed to be one of the largest double rooms in the hotel. The room was clean. The furniture wasn't new, but it was fully functional, not broken or unsightly. In fact, it created a pleasantly homely atmosphere. All the amenities in both the room and the bathroom worked well. The Wi-Fi ran without any issues. The windows can't be fully opened, only tilted for ventilation, but that wasn't a problem.

Upon arrival, you'll receive a SommerCard at the reception – a discount card that you can use, for example, when buying a ticket for the cable car to Feuerkogel. You'll also get a map of the surrounding area and tourist attractions, including those where discounts can be applied.
There's a parking lot in front of the hotel where you can leave your car.

Behind the hotel is St. Joseph's Church, and that's a bit of an issue. The church bells ring from 6 AM to 10 PM. Our room was on the other side, so the bells weren't too annoying. However, on the side facing the church, it could be quite unpleasant.

As other reviews mention, the breakfasts are quite varied and tasty.
On the other hand - by the sixth day of our stay, I was looking for something new, but that's probably the case everywhere.

I recommend renting bikes at the reception. They have trekking e-bikes (25 EUR/day) and mountain e-bikes (30 EUR/day). The bikes are in good condition, including the brakes, battery, etc. You can cycle around half the lake, go to Gmunden, or ascend to one of the surrounding lakes.

Perfekte Lage nahe am See. Gute Infrastruktur in wenigen Gehminuten.
Zimmer sind funktional aber ansprechend aushestattet.
Gutes Frühstück.

Die Ladestation für E-Bikes und Autos ist super!

Leider entgegen der guten Rezensionen ein ernüchternder Aufenthalt. Im Badezimmer waren Silberfische und die Türzarge des Zimmers hatte einen Riss. Die Zimmerkarten haben nach dem ersten Tag nicht mehr funktioniert. Und das gesamte Gebäude wirkt sehr in die Jahre gekommen.

Loved everything about our stay except the shower door. It was difficult to keep the water in the tub.

This was a very nice hotel with excellent staff. We were very impressed with the room as it was so large. There was a living area, small kitchen, dining area, separate bedroom and a very large balcony. The only bad issue was we could not charge our hybrid car as hotel could not locate the card. I will definitely stay here again!

Good place to stay if you need to stay in the area. Good value, good breakfast. The place is somewhat dated but seemed clean. During off season, evening dining can be somewhat of an issue with very few places open.

even though our flight was delayed and we had to arrive late at night they welcomed us and facilitate our check in process. everything was great. staff were lovely and we had an amazing time. definitely recommend and we would like to visit again <3

Very helpful and kind staff. Excellent parking. Very convenient to drive around the area. Good breakfast buffet. Overall feeling great stay.

Sehr schön direkt am Attersee gelegen.

A quelques dizaines de mètres du lac, dans un emplacement calme, cet hôtel a de grandes chambres un peu vieillottes mais très confortables.
Un souci au check out : l'hôtel n'avait pas eu les informations de paiement et nous demandait de régler la chambre déjà payée... Avec l'aide de l'opératrice de chat hotel.com et de l’hôtesse de l’hôtel (qui parlait français) cela a pu être réglé avec efficacité mais nous avons perdu 1/2h.
A noter que le restaurant de l'hôtel est fermé le mercredi, mais il y a ce qu'il faut aux alentours et nous avons été bien conseillés.

Everything was just fine during our 5 days holiday. We could choose between two upgraded rooms. Nearby church bells hardly audible in the morning when windows were closed. We got a pack of useful information material when checking in. Breakfast and half board excellent. Fast Wi-fi in the room. Friendly staff in the restaurant. Sauna working. Enough parking space.

The room was great and storage + charging for our bicycles was very
convenient. As noted above the reception lady Gerda Leitner was Outstanding!! She was my Austrian Angel on getting care for my injured hand. She "pegged the meter" on service above and beyond the call of duty. We highly recommend this hotel and their outstanding staff.

We had a lovely stay in this hotel which except for the nearby church bells ringing was very peaceful.

The hotel is located on the northern side of the river which is probably the quieter side of Ebensee.

The room we had was very clean and roomy. There are other rooms in the hotel with balconies which have views over the lake.

The meals in the restaurant were very good and breakfast was well catered for and comprehensive.

We staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Stopped here during a circuit of the Salzkammergut by bicycle. Dedicated bicycle garage with power for charging the electric bike batteries. Nice spacious room with self catering facilities if so inclined. Very friendly staff. Nice location by the lake and not far from anything although the town itself is not huge!

I went here last night with friends, after hearing that Landhotel Post has an Indian menu for one month out of the year. First off, this made me so happy to hear and I was skeptical but everything was wonderful! The staff was friendly, charming and very professional. I was very satisfied with the whole experience. Our food was served so quickly and everyone was very attentive to us. And to my surprise, the food was delicious! I shared a two person platter and we even had plenty of leftovers to take home. I wish they would celebrate Indian month more than just once a year but I guess i should just be greatful they have it at all. This was my only experience at this restaurant, however I will be back in the near future to check out what else they serve because they seem really great.

I enjoyed my stay. The room was clean, comfortable and nice. The food at the restaurant was excellent.The problems I found were:1) Housekeeping entered my room four times without knocking. I have never seen such rude behavior at any hotel.2) One waiter seemed to be new. He confused nearly every order, giving us wrong food and drink, and forgetting requests, Please make sure your new waiters are better trained.

On our last night in Ebensee, we decided to eat at the Hotel Post. The service was excellent as was the food. Traditional Austrian food at sensible prices. Our vegetarian friend was well catered for and every one of the four meals was nicely cooked and very tasty.

Food was good at a fair price, I would especially recommend the specials if they are on offer. The waiter was good and spoke excellent English however the receptionist was quite impatient and unfriendly. Rooms were good and spacious. Breakfast was simple but good.
