Top hotel in Taichung!
Pros:

Excellent stay at the Mercury! The staff were attentive and helpful in all matters and the room was immaculately clean! The air-con worked well and the shower was spot on! A working refrigerator was a bonus too!

Cons:

Would have preferred a room with a window, but it wasn't essential.

隔音有夠爛，第一次看到飯店門下的縫那麼大，凌晨一兩點被對面吵到完全睡不著
凌晨四五點隔壁一直有震動聲，早上出去才發現隔壁是倉庫，那凌晨的震動聲是怎樣？莫名其妙

The location is about 12 mins walking distance from the main station. Breakfast is good with an enough number of options. Room is clean. Staffs can speak English, not absolutely fluent, but it's managable. But the room Wi-Fi is too poor.
