Amaryllis Hotel

Friendly staff .Excellent meals with the head chef who was well organised. Will definitely recommend .Enjoyed our stay.

We we're there for 1 week. The food is not that good, most of it is frozen food thats heated up or fried in oil... also there were problems with the soda machines, and glasses are very very small, like 1 sip per glass.

The bar during the day also only allows 2 drinks each at a time, but in very very small glasses again - even if me and a friend were standing together and we wanted 2 drinks each, the moring bartender didnt allow us to order 4 at once - i had to order 2 first, then my friend had to order 2 after, instead of just using his brain a little and seeing that we are there together... bartender in the night is better, you should replace the morning guy, very mad all time no service.

I went to Amaryllis Hotel with friends, and overall the experience is decent.

We discovered some problems with ants in one of the beds, but the cleaning service was quick to react and got rid of the problem. We were at bit disappointed by the selection of soft drinks, drinks etc. included in the all inclusive, and we experienced the food being a bit boring and mostly blend. We told the receptionists who did everything possible to come up with alternatives to the buffet - really fantastic service!

To sum up, there are some minor flaws but the service is really extraordinary.

We have really enjoyed our stay. The staff is very nice people, who likes to chat and joke. The food and the pool was fine, and the rooms were much better than the the pictures. The location of the hotel is very fine and central in Kalamaki. Not long from a beautifaul beach. A rcommandation!

We booked this last minute to escape the awful weather in Denmark, and there were not many sun holidays available. We are very happy we chose this place! It is a lovely quiet small all inclusive hotel (Sunweb exclusive I think) with newly renovated spacious rooms. We stayed in a 2 room unit with a bedroom and 2 large sleeping sofas in the living room where our adult/teen children slept. Nice big veranda with sliding doors from both the bedroom and living room All beds were very comfy. Nice big shower and we never had problems with hot water or pressure. Air condition is individually controlled in each room and it worked flawlessly. It is a very clean and well maintained hotel both the rooms and the public areas. Pool was excellent and plenty of lawnchairs for everyone, it never felt overcrowded. The food was varied but of course as with any all inclusive it can feel a bit repetitive after a while, but there are plenty of restaurants, bars and shops in less than a 5 minute walk. There were staples at all meals such as fresh salads, a different pastas , french fries, rice or rice dishes, but meat dishes were pretty much switched from day to day. I had some exceptional lamb dishes as well as some very nice pork , chicken and fish. Some evenings which were as good as restauraunt quality with potato wedges and grilled veg. We went to a restaurant 2 nights just to get a change of scenery. I must admit a previous review of "made the best of it" had me worried, but I think the review was unfair, the food was nicely prepared and fresh and far from "awful". If you like spicy though, bring your own hot sauce. Staff brought me fresh mint when I asked about mint sauce, to complement the excellent lamb. There was a greek BBQ with dance and music one night, but mostly it is a quiet and calm atmosphere in the evening. All staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and went out of their way to please. Draft beer, local wine and drinks were with local alcohol and there was 4 cocktails you could choose from included, but you could buy premium beer, wine and drinks with branded alcohol by payment. Draft soda and ice cream was included but outside of meals you needed to wait at the bar to be served. Perhaps they should consider having this as being self serve. The lovely lady at the bar had to spend quite some time making ice creams during the day. Snacks such as samwhiches pizza squares and nachos available during the day between meals. You need to buy water for the room, but the supermarket across the street is very reasonable. Very nice sandy beach where the turtles nest is only a 5-10 minute walk. We saw turtles a few times a few hundred metres from shore but you can rent a paddle boat if you aren't comfortable going too far out. Overall a very nice stay and would highly recommend especially for families.

Keep in mind that this hotel only offers all inclusive stays, so my review will be regarding the whole package

I have booked a lot of different all inclusive stays in different countries but this one was the only one that I had to get something to eat outside of the hotel

The first night we saw some ants on the bed, when we lifted the bed and there were like 25/30 ants, the owner came and started spraying some chemical to get rid of the ants (without our consent ofcourse because we had to sleep in this room now with a strong spray smell ), the next day housekeeping came by and sprayed so more, after this the ants were mostly gone

Like I said, the food was pretty bad and because of this we had to eat outside (not the goal of an all inclusive vacation)
The variety was very small and mostly the same every day, sometimes they used food from the day before

In between breakfast, lunch and diner they served some snacks at the bar ( if you're lucky ), the last day we waited an hour just to find out there were no snacks today

Speaking of the bar, I can not remember a moment when I did not have to wait for my drink, there was always a queue and the service was often too slow.

Again, the variety of the drinks were also too small, a lot of drinks required extra payment

An average all inclusive hotel offers the possibility to get your own soft drinks, snacks and ice cream, unfortunately this hotel does not and you will have to ask for it every time and a lot because the cups are pretty small

We did have fun with the pingpong table and clearly tried to make the best out of this experience

Fantastic hotel and lovely food.

Stayed here with my wife and 3 kids and absolutely loved it, rooms are spacious and well equipped, hotel and pool area are spotlessly clean and the staff are very helpful and friendly.

The food is really good, especially if you like traditional Greek food although there is a little bit of everything, never too busy too as they have meal sittings and restrict numbers per sitting due to covid.

Good selection of drinks on all inclusive plus snacks available in between meals.

Would definitely stay again and would highly recommend.
