One of the best experiences we ever had! The staff from reception was exceptional, especially Frederika that assisted us before even arriving to the hotel with all our questions and reservations that we needed. Her kind and patient way gave a very positive note to our visit at Agali. Special thanks to Akis for being very kind to us during our time at the pool! The place is wonderful but the people are what makes it even more special!
We have stayed in Agali hotel for a good few years now, previously known as Domes. Unfortunately we found it to be very disappointing in a few areas.
Firstly on our first night after being in town for dinner came back to the hotel to have a night cap and an early night as we had been travelling all day. We made are way down to the pool bar very precariously as the lights were not working and it was already dark and it’s quite a few steps down. Having got some ice as we wanted a drink in our room made our way back up the steps managed all the way up and fall at the last step as o could not see it with no lights. Cut and bruised, in shock but nothing broke, thank goodness. My partner got me settled in the room then went to report the incident at reception. Young girl at reception was very nice came to our room to check if I was ok and said she make sure the manager was told. Next morning after breakfast met the manager on the way to reception and nothing was said, she never asked if I was ok or was there anything they could do! We were there for a week and no one asked how I was. Very bad management not to check after a bad fall because lights weren’t working.
Then we found breakfast to be very poor, I would only have yogurt, fruit and honey, fruit was just melon and grapes, no berries available. Yogurt and honey lovely but would have liked some fresh berries.
We would always stay a week a Agali and a week in a villa, won’t be staying in Agali again after the lack of health and safety regarding lights not working.
We had 10 days at this fantastic hotel. The restaurant and bar were both by the pool and beach and we enjoyed the fabulous Greek food and wine. Breakfast was great with a good choice. The service here was second to none. Access to these areas was via a number of steps but this didn’t deter us from enjoying the wonderful facilities and views. Our room was lovely, cleaned every day with fresh bottled water and towels. Thanks to the 2 guys who did this work. Reception staff were very helpful and went out of their way to making our holiday so enjoyable. The hotel is within easy walking distance to the town which is so beautiful. There are numerous restaurants, bars and shops and if you have watched ‘ Maestro In Blue ‘ on Netflix you will see some of the sites here and elsewhere on the Island. They were just starting to film series4 while we were there. A short ferry crossing from Corfu will get you there within an hour. Also a boat trip around the Island and to Antipaxos is a must…..so beautiful and lots to see. All in all, a truly wonderful holiday.
Oh what an amazing vacation we had here!!! The location of this hotel is an absolute dream. We woke up every morning seeing the sun rise above the Ionian sea and we had an amazing view from the restaurant, the pool and the beach area. The room was extremely clean and the daily cleaning service was spot on and seameless. The breakfast had everything I could have wished for, and more, and I am a particular person when it comes to food. Even though I ate much more than I eat at home because everything was so delicious, Evelin, the lovely yoga/pilates/hiking instructor, helped us keep the calories in check. Her services are included and she offers classes in the morning and in the evening, everyday except Sundays, when she has a day off. Apart from the fact that she is amazing, the classes take place on 2 spots near the beach, with absolutely wonderful views that help relax you even more. She provides mats, dumbells, yoga blocks, towels so you don't have to carry yours with you. Now, at this hotel, whatever you might need, whether it is a boat trip, a rental car, transfers, taxi rides, a surprise portokalopita to knock your socks off, restaurants/cafes/bar suggestions or reservations... Katerina has got you covered. She knows everyone and everything and has made our vacation at Agali sooooo smooth, pleasant and care free that I don't even have words to describe her. Not to mention she is like a ray of sunshine every morning at breakfast checking in on you, making sure you have everything and seeing is there is anything you might need (such as the things above - we tried all of those) to make your stay even better. The entire staff is absolutely great, super eager to help and make your stay perfect to be honest! If you are looking at this hotel, still deciding whether to book it or not, take the leap. You won't regret it and you will want to go back!
If you’re looking for a place that combines comfort, beauty, and genuine hospitality, Agali Hotel is the perfect choice. The location is breathtaking, with stunning views of the sea and a peaceful atmosphere that made our stay unforgettable!
The Agali is a small hotel with rooms set amongst beautiful terraced gardens on the side of a hill overlooking the sea. The rooms are small, but very clean and well-appointed - ours had a terrace. Bed linen and towels were changed every day. The dining/bar area is set around a sea-water swimming pool, with terracing down to a private pebble beach and plenty of sun loungers. There were areas to do yoga, with classes most days. Food was excellent, with plenty of choices. Staff were universally friendly and helpful.
The hotel is an easy 15 minute stroll into Gaios, which has a picturesque harbour, and many excellent restaurants.
All in all, a wonderful place to stay for a relaxing and peaceful holiday.
Staff were extremely professional and just amazing. Food was great. Beach and pool were perfect.
Hotel incrível, localização excelente, ótimas instalações!
Café da manhã incrível!
Vista surreal!
An absolutely wonderful hospitality experience! Agali Hotel perfectly combines breathtaking sea views with genuine Paxos warmth. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay.
The location is ideal – right by the port, with easy access to the island’s beaches and attractions. The staff are always friendly and helpful, making you feel at home from the very first moment.
Breakfast is rich and delicious, featuring fresh local products, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel radiates peace and authenticity.
I would definitely choose Agali Hotel again and highly recommend it to anyone who wants to experience Paxos with comfort and true quality!
Beautiful, private beach, great food.
Overall Great Hotel. Great service provided by all staff but want to give special recognition to Katerina the guest relations agent and Harris on the wait staff. The other Katerina was helpful as well. Easy walk to Gaios.
Room- we had a balcony room which was very spacious. Great view. Our room was 29 ( could be wrong) which was above the check in area. We had no issues with any noise.
Restaurant- The food was amazingly good. Breakfast was full buffet with menu for some special items made in the kitchen. It was all included in room rate. Dinner and lunch were both very good with the salad with warm Manouri (sp?) cheese and fig being especially tasty. We wish we had eaten dinner at the hotel our last night instead of walking down to the Klis Fish place as the service at hotel was far superior.
Car Rental- We decided to rent a car. There was ample parking at the hotel. I would say that parking is an issue in Gaios. No issue for us since we could walk there easily from the hotel. Lot's of young couples rent scooters.
Boat rental- We rented a boat with captain George from Paxos Premium Boat Hire 30-6981438480. Beat decision of our entire 14 day trip to Greece. He was able to pick us up directly from the hotel and return us directly to the hotel. He is excellent captian. I never felt sick as he knew how to avoid having boat rock so much and he was fully stocked with all kinds of floatation devices, snorkel and stand up paddleboards.
Frustratingly this hotel has the potential to be excellent but isn't. There is no doubt the rooms are in need of an update and some shoddy workmanship needs attention, see photos. The rooms at the front of the resort get the best unobstructed view of the sea. Our shower was out of the 1980's. Simply not good enough for the price we paid.
The hotel was nearly full yet at dinner there were only a handful of people. They are trying to posh up, for want of a better expression, Greek food. Don't! Keep it true like the packed restaurants in town. It's the authentic, simplicity of grilled fish, meats and classic Greek staples that customers want. The empty seats prove that. We ate there 3 nights, through circumstance. Each time they had items missing from the menu. Every night they had no bubbly of any kind and various wines missing. It became a standing joke as each time we ordered something the grumpy waiter would return and say they didn't have it. Crikey, he only had to speak to the chef and look in the fridge before service.
Never once did we have drinks offered to us on the beach during the day, presumably because we didn't occupy the central loungers. Big mistake, huge! We would have spent a fortune. Hey ho, our livers were better for it.
There was a 'wellness area' which was a piece of astro turf on a raised terrace. All a bit naff. There is so much scope for a gym on site. Again for the price, this should be a given.
We weren't told checking in, about all the 'secret' services like the yoga teacher, Friday BBQ, the availability at breakfast for fresh orange juice and other coffee options, only upon request etc. Obviously a need to know policy!
This hotel is owned by Domes Resorts so these are easy fixes. For such a beautiful hotel in such an idyllic site, it could be perfection. Instead we left a tad irritated. Shame.
Excellent location, great restaurant with excellent poolside bar.
Fantastic property and location with friendly service oriented staff …. Evelyn ( Pilates and health instructor amazing , Rodi , Efrodite and Katerina also great !
Only recommendation is that rooms get a refresh/upgrade including bathrooms … otherwise I’d give it a 5 /5 instead of 4/5 !
Agali exceeded all expectations. We experienced a warm welcome late at night after a delay and the Rodi was so helpful getting us checked in and to our room. Katerina helped us even before arrival when we had questions regarding boat tours, massages and ATV rental. Katerina and Federiki provided us with wonderful restaurant reservations around Paxos. And the highlight of our stay was a private poolside dinner. The food was exceptional, the atmosphere was stunning and the service from Harris was outstanding. He was so attentive and friendly to us during our stay. The hotel amenities were wonderful and we would come back at the first chance we get.
The hotel was stunning and in a perfect location. Beach access and a short walk to the town.
Lovely little hotel with a great atmosphere. The view from the terrace is beautiful, especially at sunset time, and the location is perfect, very close to Paxos main village. The staff were friendly and helpful, and everything felt very relaxed. A really nice place for a quiet stay.
I had an excellent stay to Agali Hotel . The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting. Special thanks to Freideriki!!!
Stayed at Agali Hotel for a few nights and absolutely loved it. The reception staff were so kind and welcoming and made us feel at home right away. Everyone working there was friendly and helpful, always smiling and ready to assist with anything we needed. The location is perfect with amazing views, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast with a sea view was the perfect way to start the day. Would definitely stay here again!
