The bed!!

Our flight was cancelled whilst we were waiting to board, so we managed to grab a last minute deal on a room here. We were tired, exhausted, and not in a good mood, particularly because our replacement flight was scheduled for nearly midnight the following day. The management of this hotel turned our situation around, suggested things for us to do whilst 'stuck' in the city, and gave us a sanctuary. We could not be happier with the staff, facilities, food, and the way in which they looked after us even after check out. Top people. Top place.

Le personnel était très sympathique, souriant et serviable ! Le monsieur de la réception nous a donné des astuces durant le temps de séjour. La chambre était propre, jolie et confortable. Le déjeuner était incroyable, il y avait un vaste choix, la nourriture était bonne et de bonne qualité et la terrasse pour manger offre un cadre idyllique. De plus, le personnel qui s’occupe du petit déjeuner était très gentil et serviable !

Our room was very nice and clean, and the staff was very eager to help us however they could. The breakfast and atmosphere were both great. Important to note that they do not have onsite parking, but they did recommend a couple private lots, which worked for us.

Dimargio is an excellent hotel with a welcoming staff during a stay in Heraklion. Its breakfast includes many healthy options to begin a day of exploring the city and its surroundings, and its Bistro provides a menu with delicious appetizers or entreees for those guests who want a relaxing dinner after a hectic day of sightseeing.

Staff, location, facilities all superb.

I can't say enough about this hotel, the location is perfect for foodies as all the good restaurants are nearby, everything is walking distance, the harbour, museums ect.
The hotel is beautifully clean its like coming home the small staff are absolutely amazing so friendly can't do enough for you. Katarina goes above and beyond she is so caring and genuinely wants to make your stay perfect. What a prize she is , such a lovely lady. All of the staff are so lovely and really want it to be perfect even the maids are friendly helpful and do an amazing job. If we go back to Heraklion we wouldn't think twice about where to stay. The hotel is in a quiet street the cathedral is nearby so you do hear the bells at different times which is charming in itself.
Breakfast is absolutely delicious the perfect amount of choice and im sure if you wanted something else they would make it without question. The rooms are large with a big shower and plenty of hot water ,lovely bedding and comfy pillows immaculately cleaned the only criticism I would have is the lovely huge bed was slightly hard if I was being picky but I do have a back injury. We where given a couple of hours in the spa as the weather was so bad which was just what we needed. Thankyou for the lovely stay even though it rained for the 3 days we where there, if it hadn't been for this lovely hotel we would have got a flight home to sunny England. A special thankyou to Katarina for making our stay more enjoyable.
