Kräuter & Spa-Hotel Das Schäfer - Adults only

We spent three nights in this delightful hotel and booked a half‑board arrangement. The food was absolutely delicious, and the team deserves special praise for their exceptional attentiveness, as well as their willingness to accommodate gluten free dietary needs.
The hotel is immaculate and exudes a peaceful, luxurious atmosphere—without the hint of snobbery sometimes found in places of similar caliber. The spa area is wonderful: calm, relaxing, and beautifully designed. Everything has been thought out down to the smallest detail.
When you first arrive, you’re given a number of instructions, which might seem a bit much at first. But soon you realize how purposeful and well‑organized everything is—it all runs seamlessly.
I would definitely stay here again, and next time for a longer visit. This truly is a hidden gem, slightly off the beaten path but absolutely worth it. Travelling here by car is highly recommended—skiing starts in the next village, and the best hiking trails are just a short drive away, the village itself is quite peaceful with one small grocery store and a restaurant.

This experience went above and beyond our expectations. The hotel is beautifully appointed, the spa is divine and impeccably clean, the staff is wonderful and the service is unparalleled. We enjoyed some of the best meals of our trip here, with immense kudos to the chef and kitchen staff. This family run spa resort feels luxurious and personal, with the family members knowing you by name and welcoming at every turn. And the location speaks for itself, one of the most beautiful places we have ever been. We will absolutely be returning for a future visit.

Location is perfect. The hotel is nice. Dinner is delicious and right amount (not too much). Although breakfast variety for 7-10 days stay may be considered slightly limited, for shorter stays it's perfect. Personal is extremely helpful and easy to reach

Everything was perfect! Delicious food for breakfast and dinner, very (very) nice staff members. The room was big, clean and with very nice views. The spa bigger and nicer than expected. And we had a great massage. We will definitely go back and we recommend it 100%!

I was with my husband for two days and it was amassing. We really liked the Sauna with view on the mountains, the relaxing massages that we had, the silence areas that are made with such a good taste,
The food has such an extraordinary quality and the size of the plates were just perfect for me. It is not the quantity that speaks for this family business, but the precision and every detail.

We had an amazing stay at Das Schäfer last week. The hotel is amazing, very clean, the owners are very nice and helpful. Spa area is great, with indoor and outdoor pool, drinks all day long. Also the food was perfect, both at breakfast, late lunch and dinner. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a relaxing stay.

The staff was always very helpful and service oriented. The facilities were top notch and clean.

We had two stays at Das Schäfer, each for one week in summer. The Hotel is run by a family in the most competent and welcoming way. Everybody you'll meet there will make your stay a success. The place is high up in the mountains,with spectacular views, clear water and beautiful air and walks for every degree of mountaineering expertise (or lack thereof). There is a fantastic spa inside the hotel with two pools inside and outside and lovely places to relax. The food is absolutely spectacular. You get to choose from a menu in the morning. Dinner is really surprising, modern, healthy and everything tasted fantastic. Also, the dishes are beautifully arranged, we have seen this only in Japan before. There is a large variety of wine, beer and other beverages to choose from... We already plan the next stay.

I am happy to recommend this beautiful hotel. The owners have created their own little paradise for the guests to enjoy. We shortly talked to them. They have taken their 25+years of experience in the hôtellerie and built this place to fulfill what they thought to be the perfect hotel. In our opinion they succeeded. Many thanks.

We recommend to recht ebikes to explore the mountains. At 10 eur the 4h it's truly a bargain.

The Berg suites are of superior standard with a great view on the surounding mountains. Clean and nice interior design.
A nice spa area with indoor and outoor pool is the perfect place to relax after a day of hiking.
Staff is very welcoming and helpful if anything is needed.
The evening meal is of great quality due to fresh products with an amazing cheese selection to finish.
