C’est notre deuxième séjour dans cet hôtel. Tout est parfait jusque dans les détails. C’est une vraie pension complète. Le petit-déjeuner est fabuleux. Il y en a pour tous les goûts. Mention spéciale pour les tisanes et les potions faites maison par la patronne.
Entre 14 et 16h il y a une collation sous forme de buffet, salades délicieuses qui changent chaque jour, fromage , pain et dessert. Les boissons sont en supplément.
Le repas du soir est tout simplement délicieux et gastronomique. On a le choix entre 3 plats principaux dont un végétarien.
Chambre très agréable, jolie décoration, lit très confortable, avec 3 oreillers par personne.
Salle de sport petite mais très complète. Avec un tapis de course, des poids libres et des machines. Seul bémol: les vélos qui n’ont pas de mesure de la distance.
Sauna avec une vue incroyable sur les montagnes.
Magnifique région pour la randonnée.
Globalement l’ambiance est très calme ce qui permet de se ressourcer vraiment.

Das Schäfer is a 4-star superior hotel. On its attractively designed website, it presents itself as a herb hotel with a strong focus on sustainability. As a result, our expectations were quite high.

The furnishings and overall design are of high quality, but there is a slight lack of attention to detail. The rooms are clean, simple, and functional.

The food is generally very good, but it is heavily focused on meat. Vegetarians can choose a vegetarian main course, and there is also a salad. However, the other courses often include meat dishes. While vegetarian alternatives can be requested, for example, for the soup, it is often unclear what exactly will be served instead. For a hotel of this category, we would have expected more transparency and a wider selection.

The afternoon snack buffet and cheese buffet offer a fairly limited selection and tend to repeat from day to day. Breakfast, on the other hand, is excellent, with a good variety of high-quality options.

The spa area is clean and attractively designed. However, the individual saunas are rather small, which can make the area feel crowded when the hotel is busy.

Despite the positive aspects, we never really felt completely at ease during our stay. The service came across as somewhat impersonal and the atmosphere lacked warmth. Furthermore, during our visit, there was little to suggest that this was actually a herb hotel. The herb garden also appeared somewhat neglected, although that may have been due to the season.

The check-out experience was also not 4*S like. We were not asked whether we had enjoyed our stay or if we had any feedback. Instead, the process consisted of settling the bill and a brief “goodbye.”

We spent three nights in this delightful hotel and booked a half‑board arrangement. The food was absolutely delicious, and the team deserves special praise for their exceptional attentiveness, as well as their willingness to accommodate gluten free dietary needs.
The hotel is immaculate and exudes a peaceful, luxurious atmosphere—without the hint of snobbery sometimes found in places of similar caliber. The spa area is wonderful: calm, relaxing, and beautifully designed. Everything has been thought out down to the smallest detail.
When you first arrive, you’re given a number of instructions, which might seem a bit much at first. But soon you realize how purposeful and well‑organized everything is—it all runs seamlessly.
I would definitely stay here again, and next time for a longer visit. This truly is a hidden gem, slightly off the beaten path but absolutely worth it. Travelling here by car is highly recommended—skiing starts in the next village, and the best hiking trails are just a short drive away, the village itself is quite peaceful with one small grocery store and a restaurant.

This experience went above and beyond our expectations. The hotel is beautifully appointed, the spa is divine and impeccably clean, the staff is wonderful and the service is unparalleled. We enjoyed some of the best meals of our trip here, with immense kudos to the chef and kitchen staff. This family run spa resort feels luxurious and personal, with the family members knowing you by name and welcoming at every turn. And the location speaks for itself, one of the most beautiful places we have ever been. We will absolutely be returning for a future visit.

Location is perfect. The hotel is nice. Dinner is delicious and right amount (not too much). Although breakfast variety for 7-10 days stay may be considered slightly limited, for shorter stays it's perfect. Personal is extremely helpful and easy to reach

Everything was perfect! Delicious food for breakfast and dinner, very (very) nice staff members. The room was big, clean and with very nice views. The spa bigger and nicer than expected. And we had a great massage. We will definitely go back and we recommend it 100%!

I strongly recommend it!
I was with my husband for two days and it was amassing. We really liked the Sauna with view on the mountains, the relaxing massages that we had, the silence areas that are made with such a good taste,
The food has such an extraordinary quality and the size of the plates were just perfect for me. It is not the quantity that speaks for this family business, but the precision and every detail.

We had an amazing stay at Das Schäfer last week. The hotel is amazing, very clean, the owners are very nice and helpful. Spa area is great, with indoor and outdoor pool, drinks all day long. Also the food was perfect, both at breakfast, late lunch and dinner. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a relaxing stay.
