LOOM ATHENS

We were accommodated on the 0 floor (ground floor). It is probably a nice place in the summer, but in March it is dark and cool. The rooms on this floor are next to the kitchen, and at 7 a.m. the staff come to prepare breakfast — it is very noisy, and it becomes impossible to continue sleeping.

Breakfast was very basic. It could have been laid out better too, it was just perched on a shelf.

Jedyne, co mnie rozczarowało to, że jedno z dwóch łóżek w pokoju nie było wymienione po poprzednich gościach. Drugie było ok i czyste. W każdym razie początkowo wybrałam właśnie to łóżko, które nie było w idealnym stanie. Pościel była przybrudzona, na łóżku mnóstwo okruszków. To było słabe doświadczenie. Fajnie by było też, gdyby śmieci zostały wyniesione chociaż raz podczas naszego kilkudniowego pobytu. W każdym razie i tak oceniam pobyt bardzo pozytywnie.

Le petit déjeuner devrait être servi plus tôt

Odadaki kanepe konstrüksiyon olarak kilolu insanlar için uygun değil. Çocuklar için kullanılabilir. Altına biraz destek yapılırsa daha uygun hale gelir.
Nespresso makinasındaki kahveler yeterli idi ama çay da eklenirse güzel olur.
Otele erken check in yapmak mümkün olmadığından valizleri güvende tutabilecek bir yer hoş olurdu.

Horrible communication, careless and not customer service friendly.

However, the biggest downside for us was the location. Although the city centre is not very far in theory, the hotel is not realistically walkable, especially with children. The surrounding area did not feel safe to us. The streets are in very poor condition, with broken pavements and many derelict or empty buildings. The area has a noticeable red-light district atmosphere, and walking to the nearest underground station felt uncomfortable and quite unsafe, particularly in the evening.

Parking is also very difficult. The street in front of the hotel is extremely narrow, and there is no proper place to stop. Even taxis have to stop in the middle of the road because there is simply nowhere else to pull over.

Inside the room, the light switch system was very confusing. There were many switches placed in different areas, and it took time to figure out which switch controlled which light. The first night we accidentally left the bathroom light on because we simply couldn’t find the correct switch.

We stayed in January, and the heating system was uneven. The upstairs area became very hot, while downstairs remained noticeably cooler. This made it difficult to find a comfortable temperature, especially for sleeping.

The room itself did not have much natural light, as it is surrounded closely by walls and parts of the building. This might be an advantage in summer, but in winter it felt a bit dark.

Breakfast was the most disappointing aspect. The selection was very limited. The coffee was pre-made in a container, and most pastries were gone quickly and not refilled. There was only toast bread available to make yourself, some fruit like apples, and very little variety overall. We felt it would be better to have breakfast at a nearby café instead.

Overall, the hotel itself is clean, modern, and comfortable, especially the rooms. But due to the location and breakfast, we would not necessarily choose it again as a family with children.

Hartelijkheid van personeel. Service op de kamers t.a.v. hygiëne. Geen toiletpapier in toilet werpen bijvoorbeeld, maar niet de emmer dagelijks verschonen. 1,5 uur brandalarm waarop niet gereageerd werd.

Dépourvu de réception (self check-in), l'hôtel ne brille pas par le contact humain. Les personnes présentes pour le petit déjeuner n'étaient pas disponibles pour les hôtes, ni particulièrement agréables (chose rare à Athènes). L'offre du petit déjeuner était restreinte et de qualité médiocre (absence de jus de fruits, de beurre). L'hôtel ne dispose pas d'espace sécurisé pour y laisser ses bagages et il n'y a pas de personnel au-delà de 15h30. Nos chambres n'ont pas été faites au cours de notre séjour et aucun des consommables (savon, produits d'hygiène), n'a été remplacé. Ces points sont étonnants pour un établissement élégant, bien situé et équipé, aux prestations par ailleurs haut de gamme.
