Single Tree Mount Hotel

We stayed here during our stay at Nuwara Eliya. It's a beautiful property with lovely views from the balcony of the rooms.

Very clean and comfortable rooms and the TV was also working well. Delicious Sri Lankan meals available at the restaurant and staff are very courteous.

Nuwara Eliya is so beautiful surrounded by tea plantations but canbe quite cold. Single Tree Mount looks very pretty and has comfy, clean and warm room. We loved both dinner and breakfast which was a mix of western and Sri Lankan dishes. Staff are friendly and nice and the view from the room/hotel is breathtaking.

New hotel within walking distance of town centre, supermarkets etc. Room was clean but very damp. Bedding felt damp and windows were running inside. Lovely food in restaurant and helpful staff. However, we had a couple of strange experiences - we had dinner and asked re paying (ie pay now or on room bill). We were told no we didn’t need to pay now. Back to our room and we were asleep - we were woken to staff knocking on the door insisting we pay for the meal. Made us uncomfortable.
Second night - again we were asleep and woken to staff knocking on the door. Opened the door to 3 staff saying they needed to check the hot water. Again made us very uncomfortable and seemed a bit odd.

Many hotels with similar confusing names. This one a very new modren business style hotel. On outskirts of town with back rooms nice and quiet facing hill instead of road. Sort of need a car to access this hotel?..........................

The rooms were comfortable and spacious. The toilets were clean and modern, Hot water and Good water pressure. It's a bit of a walk to the main road but it's a nice view from the hotel to the mountains. Friendly staff. Breakfast and dinner was good the time that I've stayed there.

A beautiful place atop the enchanting mountains, with a plush blend of Sinhalese resplendent hospitality with a gel to the rest of the world. Very amiable, hospitable and accommodative crew, always smiling and caring. This simple review from my end would be too ungrateful for their hospitality, but actually I am lost for words when I pen this. A must try for all those who want to untangle and unwind your stress and go back with memories for life

We recently had the opportunity to stay at this hotel, and it exceeded our expectations. The room was very nice, the location was perfect around the mountains, and the view was stunning. The food was excellent, and the service was top-notch. We were very happy with our experience at this hotel.

I recently dined at Single tree mount hotel and had the most amazing Mongolian rice!
The dish was perfectly seasoned, with a wonderful blend of spices that highlighted the natural flavors of the ingredients. The rice was fluffy and cooked to perfection.
The accompanying vegetables and meat were fresh and flavorful.
If you're looking for a delicious and satisfying meal, I highly recommend trying their Mongolian rice. I'll definitely be coming back for more!

6.95887°, 80.76920° not located on the Single Tree Road but on the busy and noisy Avissawella-Hatton-Nuwara Eliya highway (consider rooms at the back), this new hotel from December 2023 on the mountain sloop has 3 floors up and two down (B1 and B2). The interior and ambience have a business-like feeling. The restaurant in particular is not an intimate place to dine. The hotel next door is being renovated and a large Buddha statue is been built on the hilltop.

In March 2024, our room 203 on B1 was large with too-short twin beds, television, fridge, hot shower and balcony with no seating overlooking a tea plantation and a slum of sheds housing plantation-Tamils. Wi-Fi reception in the room was slow, intermittent and frequently disconnected. The bathroom tiles are slippery and the shower is occupied by a huge concrete column. The room has no air conditioning or ceiling fan due to the altitude of 1870 meters, but even with balcony doors open the room temperature became uncomfortable. Although only 4 months old, the rain shower was faulty: just a case of wrong assembly. Maintenance is essential to keep this new hotel running.

Buffet breakfast is served in the restaurant and staff members are learning their new jobs.

The best thing to say about the Single Tree Mount hotel is that it is new.

The best hotel in Nuwera Eliya. Very comfortable,spacious and clean room. Love the deluxe room concept. The food is amazing. Staff are very friendly. Highly recommended. Very nice view. The rooms with 2 double bed. Very comfortable for family with kids.

One of the best hotels in Sri Lanka. The owner and staff are very kind and helpful, the view is astonishing, and the overall calmness makes me wish to come back one day.
Our room was clean and everything worked perfectly fine. It was a welcome rest after many exciting adventures.

After a perfect adventure at Horton plains , we wanted to have a fine place to wine and dine . On the way to nuwara eliya , we stayed at this beautiful one night. we never thought that there would be a place with a friendly staff and a perfect food. Services of the hotel is outstanding and we felt like we in a homely abide.
