I've been to Peru five times in the last 10 years. This is my favorite hotel in Arequipa. The Monasterio de Santa Catalina is across the street, and my favorite restaurant, TANTA, is a block away. Perfect location.

Nice Location and cozy athmosphere

Très bel hôtel, de belles prestations, magnifique toit terrasse, par contre la chambre au premier prix 302 qu’ils m’ont donné se trouve juste au niveau du compteur électrique de l’ascenseur. Et du coup ne comptez pas faire une sieste ou une grasse mat car le compteur fait du bruit

We upgraded our room to a suite with a king bed. The room was tired but the bed was ok. The room was overlooking a nice piazza which we thought would be a nice touch. We had a choice to get one not overlooking the piazza but not knowing any better of what was to come we chose that one. We had two nights in that room with spontaneous parties taking place on the piazza till early hours (4-5am) which you felt you may as well be a part of as the windows in the room were not soundproof. It is a shame that when we were given a choice we were not told about the very noisy piazza outside. We went to the reception to change the room but the other suite was no longer available so the receptionist promptly suggested an upgrade to another suite otherwise the only available option was a shabby twin room which we took because we didn’t want to pay any more money to this hotel. We expected that an upgraded suite should be offered without extra payment but to suggest we should pay even more for this tired hotel was definitely not what we wanted to do. There was also no acknowledgment of our complaint. It was like “well it is what it is what do you want me to do about it”. We thought that staff could get police to disperse the party. Breakfast is very basic and in all honesty we would say don’t bother even to go up for your ‘one egg’ as that’s apparently the hotel policy. The rest is very basic, in small quantities and not topped up quickly enough.

Clean and quiet with a a nice buffet breakfast selection. The staff was very kind and helpful. A walkable distance from the main square. I’m really glad we chose this hotel for our trip.

Me encantó el hotel, la bóveda de la casona es muy impresionante. La atención del personal de recepción hasta el servicio de desayuno, todo estuvo impecable. Tienen ascensor y una terraza con una vista espectacular. Y todo está súper cerca del hotel.

Las habitaciones muy bonitas, limpias; su desayuno variado para ser americano. El trato del personal muy amable, el hotel cerca de la plaza de armas, zona muy tranquila y segura, y tambien resaltar que la construccion de la zona tiene un estilo colocial muy hermoso.

El hotel muy hermoso, la construcciones de sillar genia. Las habitaciones limpias y bonitas, el sedayuno excelente, y las vistas de los volcanes desde la terraza son de extraordinarias.
El personal muy atendto me brindaron asistencia en todo, traslado del hotel hacia el aeropuerto hasta tours para conocer la ciudad. Todo increible, muy buena experiencia.

Las instalaciones del hotel son muy bonitas. la ubicación muy céntrico, el lugar es super turístico por su construcción en sillar. La amabilidad del personal, me ayudaron en todo. El desayuno rico. la terraza muy hermoso. El restaurante del hotel demasiado bueno, probé el queso helado a base nitrógeno liquido, una exquisitez.

A nice quiet location on a small square. We had a small double room opposite the reception and down a couple of steps. It was dark but we didn't mind as it was quiet. The bathroom could do with a refurb. An easy (about 10 mins) walk down to the Cathedral square passing lots of nice shops, cafes, restaurants and bars on the way along Calle Bolivar. Lots on rooftops too with views of the Andes.
There is a new internal lift to the top floor for the buffet breakfast room. Breakfast was very disappointing and staff put out minimal food etc for the numbers of guests every day. Had to keep asking them to refill the empty containers no matter what time you went for breakfast. Reception staff were pleasant. A good quiet location in beautiful Arequipa. There are a couple of bars outside on the old square too. But walking down towards the Cathedral along Calle Bolivar on the left our favourite bar was Grietas. Very quirky with inventive cocktails, good snacks and friendly staff.

Muy hermoso, habitaciones limpias, amplias. Una terraza que brinda una vista increíble tanto a la ciudad como a los volcanes.
Cuenta con ascensor.

No fue lo que esperaba, la habitación no tenía buena ventilación, la terraza no estaba habilitada y un poco alejado del centro.

Lovely looking hotel in Spanish style. Hotel manager very pleasant and helpful. Good location for the sites in Arequipa. Room was small and basic, needs an update especially in the bathroom, where shower was dated.It was noisy at night as there was a mining convention and the hotel was full. Also delivery lorries turn up early in the morning. Breakfast was a buffet, basic but adequate

We ended up here because we wanted to do Peruvian cooking classes with Arthur. His restaurant is connected to the hotel and his classes and cooking is superb! We recommend it to everyone who loves to eat and cook. He is a very experienced and nice chef.

We stayed 4 days and 5 nights at the hotel. It was a comfortable stay, everything we’ve needed was here. Staff was always very friendly. Breakfast is also very nice; fresh bread, ham, cheese, fresh fruits, yoghurt & cornflakes. On our last day; we leave early in the morning and they will prepare us a breakfast box to go. Very lovely and good service!

The neighborhood of the hotel is really nice, a lot of craft breweries and restaurants in walking distance. Plaza de armas is also a 7minutes small walk. It’s also a very peaceful calm neighborhood without the crazy traffic that exists almost everywhere else in Arequipa.
