Pros:

Room was very comfortable and clean. Beautiful pool. Lovely staff who were all very helpful

Cons:

Lots of fumes in the surrounding area which took away from pool experience slightly. Meal at the hotel restaurant was very poor (seafood pasta).

Our stay at Grand Serendib in Kandy was absolutely fantastic. The hotel offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, creating a peaceful and memorable setting. The property was exceptionally clean, beautifully maintained, and the facilities, especially the stunning infinity pool, were truly a highlight of our stay.

The staff were outstanding throughout our visit: warm, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to make us feel welcome. A special mention goes to Chef Indika, who was incredibly accommodating, kind, and helpful, ensuring we had a wonderful dining experience and making our stay even more special.

Overall, Grand Serendib exceeded our expectations with its spectacular views, exceptional hospitality, excellent facilities, and attention to guest comfort. We would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kandy and would happily return in the future.

Beautiful hotel with fantastic facilities
Pros:

The view was great, the room was very clean and comfortable. The live music upstairs in the evening was fantastic.

Cons:

The extra surcharges were a bit of a surprise when we arrived as I hadn’t noticed them when I booked. I would definitely tell others to check, so they didn’t get the same surprise

Ein sehr sauberes, gepflegtes und komfortables Hotel mit hohem Standard, in dem wir uns jederzeit wohlgefühlt haben.
Pros:

Im Vergleich zu anderen Hotels hier war der Standard sehr hoch! Das Zimmer hatte einen richtig tollen Ausblick und war seehr sauber. Endlich mal ein Zimmer OHNE Kakerlaken und Spinnen. Man konnte wirklich in Frieden schlafen 😃

Cons:

Das Personal war durchweg sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Insgesamt wirkte das Hotel auf uns eher professionell und gut organisiert als familiär. Uns persönlich hat ein wenig das heimische, gemütliche Gefühl gefehlt, das wir in manchen kleineren Unterkünften erlebt haben. Das ist aber natürlich Geschmackssache und schmälert die Freundlichkeit des Teams keineswegs.
Das Essen im Restaurant war gut, jedoch nicht außergewöhnlich.
