Beautiful hotel near to Kandy city centre
Pros:

Beautiful property a short drive from Kandy centre. We were blown away by the beauty of the hotel. It has a lot of history which has been retained. Staff are so helpful and nothing is too much trouble. We had the half board option and the food was delicious. It is a serene escape from the busy and bustling Kandy city centre.

A quiet retreat a tuk tuk from the centre
Pros:

Beautiful property outside the main centre.
Our upstairs room was on the smaller side but beautifully decorated loved the pool the food and the staff would highly recommend

train track right next hotel
main road on the other side
but you are in a city so u can expect noise
the breakfast and evening meals were exellent

the fact that the train track was right beside the hotel
also the main road so close
the photo with the balcony for a room was a bit exaugurated

Schönes Hotel mit kleinen Einschränkungen
Pros:

Ein wunderschönes Hotel, ganz im englischen Stil. Das Zimmer war groß und hübsch eingerichtet. Frühstück und Abendessen waren sehr lecker. Auf dem Gelände gab’s einen schönen Pool. Das Personal war, wie immer in Sri Lanka, sehr freundlich und unglaublich hilfsbereit. Immer wieder gern, wenn…, s.u.

Cons:

… unser Zimmer nicht sehr dunkel gewesen wäre. Wir hatten zwei 10 Zentimeter breite Fenster mit Buntglas, das mittlere größere Fenster konnte man nicht öffnen, wäre aber auch nicht schön gewesen, denn direkt davor war die Restaurantterrasse. Man entschuldigte sich, mit der Erläuterung, das man wegen Denkmalschutz nichts ändern dürfe. Ein weiterer Wermutstropfen war, dass das Hotel relativ nah an der Hauptstraße und an einer Bahnlinie liegt, somit zeitweise eine ziemlich laute Geräuschkulisse bot.

Pros:

Amazing service, food and boutique luxury. Was a great way to relax after a busy period in India.

Room could have been slightly larger (I think we may have had the smallest), but otherwise very good.

Absolutely stunning surroundings. It's literally on the main road , but once you are in , you wouldnt know. Super friendly staff , good food , the ice creams are home made and so delicious. It's just a whole vibe.

Che dire? Tutto incredibilmente perfetto! Dallo staff eccezionale, che ci ha letteralmente coccolati dal primo minuto, fino alla location, meravigliosa in ogni suo aspetto e silenziosa rispetto al traffico senza sosta di Kandy. Le stanze sono meravigliose e pulite. Abbiamo provato anche la cena e siamo rimasti decisamente soddisfatti. Una struttura top in Sri Lanka

Très beau séjour avec un service impeccable
Pros:

Une superbe demeure décorée avec goût de meubles anciens.
Un accueil au top, avec une explication en photos de la lignée des propriétaires (avec leur éléphant dans le jardin).
Nourriture excellente au dîner comme au petit déjeuner.
Service de grande qualité.

Cons:

Le bruit de la route malheureusement qui n’est pas du fait de l’établissement.

super goede ervaring, het eten was voortreffelijk, de mensen die er werken zijn voorkomend, lief en zorgzaam. Je voelt je er best wel een beetje thuis. De kamers en de andere ruimtes waren smaakvol en gezellig.

Cons:

de villa ligt redelijk dicht bij een drukke weg, dus een beetje verkeerslawaai. Maar heeft pret geen moment gedrukt. Verder geen minpunten.
