Pros:

Loved the character of the home and the staff. Our room had its own private entrance and the breakfast room was gorgeous.

Cons:

Property was very well cared for but definitely had a bit of wear. The shower in the Orchid room could use a new shower head.

Lovely period building with good sized rooms.
Pros:

The staff were very pleasant. The property is a lovely old building with a pretty garden and nice areas to sit outside. Our room was spacious with a very nice bathroom.

Cons:

Our room had a part glazed exterior door with no curtain to keep light out. The plumbing from the room above ran through the wall behind the bed and sounded like a waterfall when the occupiers had showers at 1.30am. These problems were specific to our room and other rooms in the property are probably much better. We had a genius complimentary breakfast but there wasn’t a breakfast really provided apart from some cereal. There was stuff in the kitchen fridge but this seemed to belong to other guests eg half consumed loaves and half consumed soft spreads and jars of jam.

Stunning, tranquil, friendly staff
Pros:

An absolutely beautiful property! So peaceful, gorgeous rooms and lovely staff that were ready and waiting for my arrival. This was my first stop arriving into NZ and it absolutely delivered. I only stayed for a night as my first stop on a bigger trip but honestly I would go here again and hope that I’m back to stay for longer next time!

Mooi groen dichtbij de stad
Pros:

Locatie is zo rustgevend, in het groene mondaine Remuera. Een stadje, residentieel maar met veel groen.
Hotel heeft wat onderhoud nodig maar dat weten de vriendelijke eigenaars.
Kamer meer dan groot genoeg. Proper onderhouden.
IJskast op de kamer is een pluspunt, alsook de keuken, waarvan we dankbaar gebruik mochten maken om ons ontbijt klaar te maken.
Bus 75 of bus 781 nemen is de beste oplossing om naar city center af te zakken.
Op Remuera road is er een klein winkelcentra met enkele leuke restaurantjes.
Aan te raden om hier te verblijven.
Niet vergeten mount St John en Hobson te ontdekken .

Pros:

Very clean, comfortable and convenient for our trip.

Cons:

No staff around to ask questions to …. we thought they had breakfast as there was a big dining area but there wasn’t, bit confusing. But overall great value for money and just what we needed.

Lovely historic house in nice neighbourhood. Some room for improvement in the overall experience.
Pros:

Good location in a nice neighbourhood and walking distance to train station and Newmarket. The house itself is lovely with many nice details from past times. Good thought with the laundry machine and some alternatives for breakfast.

Cons:

Most of the alternatives for breakfast ran out before we woke up and it was quite confusing what we could actually use from the supplies. We were also quite disappointed that there were two brand new ovens and a stove but none of them could be used. We therefore had to throw away the frozen pizza we bought for dinner and eat yoghurt instead.

Uitstekend verblijf op goede locatie
Pros:

Het prachtige hotel, de inrichting en de sfeer in deze accommodatie is een reden hier te verblijven. Het is in de buurt van een treinverbinding met het CBD. Hoewel geen ontbijt beschikbaar konden we wel dat van onszelf klaarmaken in de ruime keuken. De host was erg behulpzaam. Parkeren op eigen terrein.

Very enjoyable stay and an excellent host.
Pros:

A lovely traditional house in a nice area. A car is recommended, parking is free. An excellent host who made us feel very welcome. I would definitely recommend this if you want somewhere a bit different from a traditional hotel.
