Perfect if you’re 18-26 backpacking in NZ

The room was tiny, when we checked in there was rubbish on the balcony, no fresh towels in the room and a shard of glass in the carpet…

It was beyond expectations and I will definitely return if travelling alone.
Pros:

The curtains and charging sockets added privacy and convenience to the bed. The roommates were considerate of each other. The cinema was an unexpected bonus!

Cons:

Although hot water was available from the dispenser, it would be useful to have an electric kettle or too in the kitchen.

The location is ideal as it is close to the city centre, with most attractions and services within walking distance. The facilities inside the hotel is outstanding (i.e., shared kitchen, laundry, study area).

Cons:

Perhaps the layout and drainage of shower/toilet could be better as the open layout makes it easily flooded after a shower.

Best hostel in town
Pros:

Really cool hostel in central Christchurch ! The place has a work/silent room, little cinema room, small pilates/yoga area. They organize activities almost every night, and the bar/restaurant on ground floor is perfect for a little drink !
