Rockrivers Machu Picchu

Garbage room - too loud with engine sound constantly, no windows, like being in a bunker. We asked to change room, unhelpful woman at reception said no. So we had to find another hotel at 7pm and pay for the other place too. Stay away

Mountain views are nice. The train tracks are right behind the building and the trains can be very loud! The breakfast options are very limited and they only gave 2 eggs per guest. It was mostly fruit and bread. I went to pick up my bags at 9:30am and no one was at the front desk.

It was ok, I wouldn’t recommend it but it did the job. Room is small, request for bed requirement (double bed) was ignored and twin beds provided. Noisy with people talking loudly outside door at night. More a hostel than a hotel.

Very friendly and helpful staff, also happens to be right above one of the best restaurants in town. Very nice and easily walkable to anything needed in town

Ocorreu tudo muito bem!! A Sonia foi muito simpática. Quarto bom. Permitem deixar as malas pra ir ao passeio à Machu Picchu.

Great location and even better water pressure! Room was comfortable and clean. It was great to have a hot shower.

It is important to know that this hotel room is very small and is right above the noisy street as well as the noisy restaurant. The employees were very loud watching television. Not a great place to try and rest before a tour that starts very early.

Acomodações de quarto muito boas, confortável, chuveiro a gás funcionava bem. Mas o destaque com certeza é a equipe, todos muito atenciosos, e queria ressaltar a Sônia, que nos ajudou rapidamente com um aquecedor, não tinha aquecedor no quarto e estava bem frio, mas quando perguntamos se seria possível conseguir um aquecedor, dentro de poucos minutos a Sônia conseguiu um. O café da manhã é simples, mas bom, pães, frutas, queijo, ovos, iogurte, suco, café e chá. Recomendo a estadia.

I would absolutely recommend the Rock Rivers hotel for your stay in Aguas Calientes. Sonia and Chacon were so helpful and kind. The rooms are perfect for a 1-2 night stay and the hotel is steps away from the bus that takes you to Machu Picchu. The breakfast is delicious and I can't say enough good things!

Perfect hotel for your Machu Picchu stay. Great staff especially Sonia who checked me in and Chacon who greets you at breakfast. Room was clean and comfortable, shower has hot water and great water pressure which was ideal after a few days hiking. Restaurant connected to hotel is also nice with more nice staff and offers room service which again after days of hiking was perfect.

We spent the night here before going up to Machu Picchu. It was a short walk from the train. The rooms are above the restaurant….so there are some stairs but we didn’t find them to be a problem. We were shown to our rooms quickly and they all had comfortable beds, en-suite bathrooms, and small balconies.
We went out shopping (there are so many shops and restaurants here!!! Hard to pick one but since we got 10%off at their restaurant we decided to eat there. Yummy)
We wanted to play a game before going to bed and we could do that in the lounge area.
We had a lovely breakfast early the next morning and we were able to leave some of our packs there while we visited Machu Picchu. (Very helpful)
I would definitely stay here again. The staff was very kind and helpful, the rooms clean and comfortable
