The place is disgustingly dirty - cleaning is clearly not part of the service. For over two weeks, a basket of foul-smelling, possibly blood-stained laundry sat at the building entrance. I reported it, but nothing was done.
My apartment (002) reeked of cigarette smoke from day one, despite the building being non-smoking. Support told me to buy air freshener myself - no other action.
The Wi-Fi, essential for my work, was completely down for four days.
The final insult: a rat appeared in the apartment during the last three days, entering through a gap around the heating pipes.
Customer service is useless and ignores all reports. This place is a health hazard - I wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy.

the wooden staircase looks a bit unstable, especially when you have to climb to the top floor :)
Do not stay here! It is horrendous.
As soon as you enter the building it stinks, and the air feels really toxic and overwhelming. The flat is big, but that's about all that is good. Every single space and room smells terribly, so much that all of my clothes and bags ended up smelling awful for days, and i had to wash them to get the smell out.
The lighting in the flat is very unpleasant, kind of dark with a blinding glare. The plugs don't work, the TV doesn't work, the door on the shower is broken.
In the bedroom I couldn't charge my phone as the light switch seemed to be wired into the wall.socket, so when I switched the lights off to go to sleep it switched off the power for the plug that was charging my phone.
The flat is next to the main entrance to the building, and every time someone goes in or out, it is incredibly loud and sounds like there are people actually in the flat with you.
Communication is awful - I got in contact with smart flats, who didn't reply and didn't address any of the issues.
The flat was probably the worst place I've ever stayed in, in terms of the smell. It ruined my trip to Antwerp. Please avoid this place.

Inside it was good, everything alright best thing was the location. but stairs was not so secure may they are still renovating it!

The apartment is laterally in the middle of a construction site where very loud noise starts very early in the morning, so it is absolutely NOT suitable for holidays and vacation! , this is in July 2024 and it is still the beginning of the project
they ask for 200€ deposit when you have already paid the actual room fees on booking.com , they return the deposit in 7 to 14 days and your account in booking.com doesn’t matter 🤷🏼♂️
Staff on the phone are not the best to deal with!
The wifi in the apartment had no internet so the TV didn’t work and they could not do more than reporting this to the maintenance team, so I had to stay without it!
The apartment is beautifully located near the centraal , nice and clean with all you need- no AC - just an electric fan !
One thing to add- early check in - if needed, costs a shocking amount!!
Remote control of TV was missing. Cleaning personnel could not replace it.
Check in was a bit of a hassle. We never received the mandatory checkin email, which required chatting with hotels.com to resolve the issue. We tried to call the smartflats people after receiving the number from hotels.com (the one on the website is disconnected) directly and were put on hold (while we were chatting with hotels.com) and after 15 minutes of being on hold, we hung up. The checkin also requires a photo id scan from your phone as well as an additional $$ euro deposit before they will give you the access codes.
Just expect some hassles trying to check yourself in.
Also, they’re doing MAJOR construction directly across the street, which resulted in a 7:30 wake up call of pneumatic drills followed by the sound of falling bricks. This continued throughout the day. It was however tolerable.
The flat did come with a small washing machine—a definite plus—but no dryer nor clothesline/pins to hang up things to dry afterward. We made due by hanging things from open windows and the radiator.
Finally, the coffee maker uses little custom espresso sachets, and they only give you a couple for the entire stay. If you like making coffee in your room in the morning, best to bring your own instant. There was an electric kettle.
The room itself is quite comfortable and a good location.

Check-in required following an externa link. This consists of a credit card deposit outside of booking. The front door is broken, there is a broken panel which allows individuals to enter without access.
There is a blinking light on the smoke detector which is anoying when trying to sleep.
The location was great, the apartments were very clean & well heated.

The flat is directly in the city center, exactly on the main street.
The room was nice and seems clean.
The fridge and the oven were working anche the bathroom was quite spacious.
The on-line check was a mess. The send me 3 times the link but it was always just an image.
I write them 4 times and they never answer.
Finally, on the day prior our arrival, they manage to send me an SMS with a valid link.
(!!!) The check in is compulsorily, if you don't do it the want tell you anything and they just want enable the code of your room. This append to a couple that arrived the same day as us, and they weren't able to contact anyone from the staff.
Other than that, the flat next to our room seems to be a university house and at the moment the building in front of the house is under demolition.
This mean that we could sleep on Saturday night and wake un ap seven o'clock on Monday morning.
