At Old Town Aparthotel

SO SMALL. Photos do not depict the space.

Not enough toilet paper or bath towels. Could use dish cloths for kitchen to wipe down surfaces. No kitchen towels for drying. Lovely area to stay at our room was thankfully on first floor.

Skøn lejlighed i hjertet af Stockholm. Nemt at komme i kontakt med dem som administrerer lejligheden. Lejligheden var pæn og der var rent og rart. Gode køkken og bade faciliter.

While room the size of a closet was clean and conveniently situated, picture and promotion of property was deceptive. Did I say room and amenities were tiny? Poorly ventilated as well. Also, be aware that it is accessed up 6 floors of narrow stone spiral stairwell.

La limpieza perfecta. Las camas y almohadas muy comodas. Acceso a internet sin problema. Ubicacion al 50 m. Del Museo Nobel.
La cocina muy mal equipada. No habia cubiertos, platos, cafetera, papel de cocina.

This aparthotel has great potential, but my stay was less than ideal. As noted by other reviewers, the lack of communication from the host made things more challenging. The hotel is centrally located in Gamla Stan, but cars can’t drop you off directly due to zoning. Our cab dropped us 1/3 miles (500 meters) away, and we had to carry 3 large bags up cobblestone streets. Once familiar with the area, we found a closer spot (200m away), but a heads-up would have been helpful.
There’s no reception, which is fine, but we struggled to get in. We waited from 2 until 3 PM for another guest to let us in after our call via the Ring camera went unanswered. Only after trying a second camera inside, we finally checked in. The room was in good shape, but there were some issues: the bed consisted of two small beds pushed together, not a queen. The bedroom was cramped, barely enough room to move around. The blinds didn’t stay down, making the proximity to the neighboring building uncomfortable. Additionally, there was no air conditioning, and with temperatures around 22-25°C (71-77°F), we had to leave the windows open. However, outside noise from people, church bells and early trash collection made sleep difficult.
No room service during our 4-night stay, despite requesting fresh towels. We were also told we couldn't store our bags at the hotel. Overall, the aparthotel feels more like a side hustle. Clearer guest instructions via email could improve the experience.

Det var lite varmt på rummet, ingen hiss i ett så gammalt hus men väldigt fint. Svårt med parkering, vore fint om det gick att få bra tips.

Veldig sentralt og fint, støy utenfra trekker litt ned. Burde ha en klut og noe å tørke oppvasken med.

Right in the centre of old town and surrounded by restaurants but a narrow stairwell and no lift, a bedroom that is quite literally as wide as the bed and constant noise from the bell tower! There are no cars allowed at certain times so be prepared to lift your suitcases over a long stretch of cobblestones and up multiple flights of stairs. The check-in process was very weird, performed over a ring camera. No questions answered, no information given.

Vi trivdes der og det ser ut som bildene viser. Det eneste som manglet var en oppvaskklut og et håndkle for å ta oppvasken ellers så var alt bra. Vi valgte Gamla Stan fordi vi reiste med 2 små barn og vi ville unngå " storstadsviben " , selv om det var mye turister i gågaten så var det bare å ta en annen gate. Vi tok en ferge over til Djurgården og det anbefales. Nå så må det sies at jeg er lommekjent, og vet hva jeg forventer i Gamla stan.

Great place

The location was great and the property itself was decent. However, if I had not read the reviews here, I would not have known what to do when I got there. There is no communication from the property owner/management with instructions for how to access the unit. They should at least send an email beforehand with instructions!

The window shades do not come down which means in the summer the sun will wake you up at 4am! Also, I asked about WiFi and was told there would be information in the room, there was no information.

Not sure who manages this but if you have guests staying, you should be responsive to questions.

Despite the great location, I would not stay here again due to the inconveniences.

Jättefräscht och centralt. Incheckningen var ok men fick bara ett kort som funkade sen fick vi inte tag i dom. Men de gick bra ändå.. allt som allt jättebra utom det!

Do not stay here unless you are able to tote your luggage up 4 flights on a spiral staircase, followed by a treacherous small wooden set of spiral stairs.
There is no window. No toiletries. No signage out front. 3:30pm is an absurdly late check in, and they are not accommodating to early check in, even if you get in at 8am. The place to store your luggage is nowhere close and obviously difficult to get to, as Old Town is not easily accessible for vehicles (hard to get an uber) and the train station is quite a walk with luggage.

The only redeeming quality is the location right near Old Town square.

Also worth noting, it is right next to a school or child care center so there are constantly children SCREAMING and crying throughout the day.

I would only recommend staying here if it's for 1 night, and all you have is a backpack or purse.

The property itself was nice, even without air conditioning, but with the windows open, you get the smell of cigarettes coming in on the street side. I tried twice to contact the manager with a couple questions, but he never answered and didnt call back.

Great location! Called a couple of times and the staff was great and patient. Was able to keep my luggage after checking out in another facility which was actually more convenient.
