まずは、予約した部屋は2ベッドの部屋が2つある（バスルームも2つ）ある部屋を予約したのにもかからわず、ツインルームに4つベッドの入った1つの部屋を案内された。びっくりした、グーグルマップに似たような名前はあるが、実際には地図上に登録がないため、直前に改名していたのかわからないが、カイロ国際空港から運転してきたタクシー運転手が見つけるまでに苦労していた。

ピラミッドは屋上レストランからの眺めが最高だが、缶ビール1本13USドル、普通のアイスペールに入ったキューブアイスが1杯15USドルと非常に高額だ。エジプトのパピルスに書かれた絵を押し売りされたり、それを買わないと態度一変。非常に詐欺的で態度の悪い接客だった

フロントは階段しかない狭いビルの3階。重いスーツケースは係にあげてもらわないと無理だ。スーツケースのタイヤを壊されると冷や冷やした。ホテルではなく疲れた体を癒せない木賃宿の様だった。非常にがっかりした
