The location is perfect for tourist.
Near airport bus drop off, park, tourist spot, china town etc.
I stayed for 8 days so i have big heavy luggages. My room is on 4th floor, so I almost lose my breath and balance while bringing my luggage up and down.
Great location.
Firstly, there was no warning about the amount of steep stairs we would have to climb to access the room. We had to climb 4 stories of VERY steep stairs, and there was no elevator. For us, this was just an annoyance, but for someone who may have physical ailments, this room is not accessible at all. The picture on the website was extremely different from the room we got. From the pictures and the title of it being "Superior Suite", it seemed as if there was a lot more separation from the living space vs bedroom; that was not the case at all. We quickly noticed the lack of insulation. You could hear every little thing from the street and the hallways. Not to mention the poor insulation caused the room to be quite cold. Upon trying to open the pullout couch, we noticed the couch itself was slanted; you couldn't sit on it without falling off. The pullout bed itself had massive yellow stains on it. The actual bed was comfortable, but the pillows given to us were couch sized pillows. We tried to turn on the humidifier, and realized there were no batteries in any of the remotes. When we went into the bathroom - well I'm not sure where to begin. From the pictures provided, we expected a decent quality bathroom. It was about a third of the size from the bathroom we expected, which isn't super pressing. However, the actual fixtures itself had multiple issues. The lighting in the bathroom was very dim and you could not see what you were doing. The toilet paper holder was fixed to be slanted so it kept falling off. The inside of the shower was gross. They provided shampoo conditioner and body wash in dispensers, however, you could tell that it hadn't been changed out in a while or cleaned. Infact, the conditioner holder, for reference the conditioner was white, had ORANGE in it.

Great location, cheap. Perfect for young people who travel alone with little to no luggage. Doors are locked with codes. Communication with the staff is online only; they were quick to respond and gave me a better room at no additional charge because my first room had electrical issues. Rooms are clean, have towels, a microwave, and a fridge.
The whole place is a definition of "you get what you pay for". The location itself is well worth it because you are within walking distance of all the good places in Boston at a really low price. But nothing else is included in that price except a bed.
Little to no sound isolation. You can hear people in the next room talking. No elevator, the ladders are very old, and it will be impossible to carry big luggage up those stairs. Overal the building is very old. In most rooms, there is no bathroom, so you need to go to the kitchen or the shared bathroom to get one. My advice is to buy clean water and bring it with you.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, but young and active people, old people, or those with special needs will not be able to stay in this place. This is very important; there is no accessibility, and no one to ask for help except other tourists.
Realmente superó mis expectativas por la ubicación. Ya sabía que tenía acceso a unas estaciones, pero me encantó estar cerca de Arlington, Public Garden y otras areas, y más que me toco vivir la tormenta invernal, me sentí muy segura. La comunicación, por email, con un representante de la Villa siempre fue inmediata y amable. Siempre buscaron soluciones a mis peticiones.
Mejorar la cortina del baño en el piso 3, debería estar en buenas condiciones. De resto no tengo ninguna queja, ellos me informaron con tiempo que estaría en un piso 4 y no habia elevador. También, al momento de reservar hay mucha información del lugar. Yo volvería a hospedarme sin ningún problema. Buena relación calidad-precio,
It was so good, clean room clean and super comfortable bed, and the bathroom was shared but I never saw the other people using it and it was super clean. And I really don’t understand the reason why people are giving 1 star. I have stayed for 3 nights and I just loved how peaceful I slept.
Maybe one thing is that heater sometimes stop and the room can get a little cold sometimes.

Was not at all how it was portrayed online. Bathroom was two floors below where i stayed. Could not close the window because partially hooked to AC unit, however, room overlooked the highway and railway so all night long i heard trains and cars.

Había un ratón dentro de la habitación por la noche. El anfitrión no hizo nada para solucionarlo esa noche, solo se me propuso un cambio de habitación pero el ratón se colaba por debajo de las puertas así que no servía de nada. No dormí en toda la noche.
Buen sitio para estar de paso.

This was the perfect location for anyone wanting to stay in the heart of Boston and explore! Check in was a breeze and the room was a great homebase for our weekend away. Despite being right downtown, we also found it to be surprisingly quiet once you stepped inside the property!
As with many older buildings, there are some quirks - our bathroom was on the smaller side. It would have been helpful if more photos were included online so guests can know what to expect. That said, we personally enjoyed the unique, historic feel of the hotel, and the overall experience far outweighed that minor detail.
