The heat was not working, the night club downstairs was very loud, our room was right next to the elevated train!!

Can't think of anything. If they had housekeeping, I'd give 10/10 review.

The shower was big and spacious, but the water pressure was a little weak. On weekends, you can hear the music from the club downstairs however I had spotted this on bad reviews before we stayed so had requested a higher floor which Sonder accommodated so the sound wasn’t an issue once we got to the 5th floor. The lift was working, but very slow. There was a also a consistent noise from the AC unit in the hallway, but thankfully the unit was soundproof so I didn’t hear it from the room.

Price gauging for the weekend

No elevator working , I have a bad knee, it was tough getting to the 4th floor

The building is attached to a night club, or rave or something. Right about 10PM, it was “thumpa, thumpa, thumpa”. I went on for hours. It did end abruptly about 2AM which lead me to believe this was not in the hotel, but an attached business. Then, at 2AM, everyone in the club, emptied into the streets below and even though the music stopped , the noise continued.

The maintenance issue(s): The glass shower door did not have a gap or a sweep gasket to prevent it from slamming into the fixed, tempered glass panel. Some poor guest is going to step in for a shower, go to close the shower door, and it’s going to shatter into a million pieces. The other thing, it’s really too bad the designers did not consider a chair rail on the wall with the exterior windows. At chair level, this wall is all chewed.

The other issue, and it’s a security one. Our security door hasp was barely hanging on by a thread. The screws had lost their threads ruining the integrity of this crucial, personal security item.

Unfortunately, the elevator broke a few days before our stay, which meant we had to carry everything up 5 flights of stairs.

There is a nightclub on the first floor that plays pulse-pounding club music from around 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Wed thru Sat. We were on the second floor. The noise was so loud, it was impossible to sleep. We asked to be moved but a customer service rep said they couldn't move us. We left the hotel after two nights, even though we had paid for three. We complained and got a partial refund for one night. The fine print on the second page of the confirmation indicates guests "may hear some noise." They offer ear buds and a white noise machine, which is a joke. The whole room vibrates from 10 to 2 a.m. There is no place to eat in the hotel, no fitness center, no staff (except cleaning) on duty. The elevator is broken and boarded up.

Elevator was broken and we were on the 5th floor, it had been clearly broken for some time. The comforter was cheap and it had clearly accumulated lint on the inside, making it lumpy. The apartment window didn't open (not sure if by design), one side of the glass shower didn't open (would have been convenient if it could so one could turn on the shower without getting hit by cold water), no hooks to hang towels or shelf in shower for you to place your own products. There isn't guaranteed parking, we got lucky to get a free spot in front but there was no real designated parking.

Long waits for housekeeping -2+ hours for items that should have been in the room
-no working elevator- no sort of notice or heads up- I’d call first flights of stairs each time you come and go is brutal!!

There are two reasons I didn't give a higher rating. The elevator was broken so dragging all of our belongings for a long weekend up and down four flights of stairs was not ideal, to say the least. Free parking was available in front of the building and we easily found a spot upon arrival. As I'm assuming most people do when traveling to the city, we didn't move or use our car again until the day we left.....only to find a ticket saying apparently street sweepers came through one of the days and our car wasn't moved. We are from a small town in Ohio and would never have known or thought to check the street daily for such signs to move our car. Knowing that guests of the Sonder are encouraged to utilize free street parking, it would have been nice if they could have sent out a warning about the street cleaners being in the area.
