Great location. Good restaurants, bakeries and coffee shops nearby. Hotel is very nice and has a ton of amenities. We loved being in Little Italy neighborhood. We will definitely be back!
Very comfortable, spacious and well appointed rooms. We stayed in the 2 bedroom and then the 1 bedroom suites. The staff was super accommodating as we moved from one room to the other with no disruption of our stay. We look forward to a return visit
Stayed in a suite with two bedrooms which was perfect for our family. Close to lots of restaurants. We able to find plenty of free parking. Inside was beautiful, kitchen was perfect, coffee was delicious
We loved the space it was perfect for us, it was cute clean, and we will definitely be back to visit. Beds were comfortable, and the host was extremely accommodating. Very easy check in and check out.
The location is perfect for those that want to stay in Chicago but not in the chaos of the big city. The area is a family friendly area but still has a lot of eateries. There are parks nearby if you have the family dog with you. The rooms are clean and spacious. The beds and bedding are very comfortable. The sofa pullout is not comfortable. It would need a mattress topper as the springs will stab you. The price is excellent for what you get in the rental. There is everything you need to cook, there are yoga mats for those that need a good stretch from walking all day, there is also a sound machine for those that need a little extra to sleep. There is no noise from surrounding rooms. There is also a washer and dryer in the two bedroom. There is a parking garage nearby for those with a car. It is about a 10 minute walk. The prices are reasonable, unlike the parking in the city. The most I paid for one day was $20. I will definitely be staying there again on my next trip to Chicago!
What a wonderful place to stay in such a neat neighborhood. Comfy bed, good coffee, and your own kitchenette will make you feel at home. Parking is the trickiest part. Be sure to have a plan before you go. I used Spot Hero to secure a spot a 15 minute walk away. That was the closest available. I will definitely stay again.
Loved staying at this hotel! Checking in with the door code was easy. As the modern, clean apt has all you need for a short stay : fully equipped kitchenette, dining table and chairs, sofa, washer/dryer, separate bedroom, large balcony all being so much nicer than a regular hotel room!
On the same street lots of restaurants, coffee shops and little grocery stories.
Approx, 15 minutes walk from Polk Station, only 6 stops from downtown Chicago!
Bus stop 1 min from hotel.
Ride to McCormick place convention center no more than 12 minutes!
An awesome hotel with a wonderful experience that exceeded expectations and made our stay memorable. Highly recommendable!
The location was in the heart of the city and we loved the neighborhood. It had everything we needed for a great stay. The beds and blankets were very soft and cozy. It was perfect for our family. It felt very safe for me to walk our dog too.
The location was great for us, close to family for a baby shower. Beds were comfy, bedrooms dark for sleeping and noise machines to block out the city sounds. They thought of everything! I was worried about not having a dedicated parking area, but we found street parking and didn’t have to walk too far. We’ll be back!
Every detail about the place was thought of. My friends were super hesitant with this not being a big chain hotel but we all loved it! We will definitely be back.
My rating is actually closer to a five than a four. My only concern is I was not pleased with the excessively soft pillows and bed mattress. For some that might be a plus, but for those who prefer medium to firm you will not be happy. Everything else was perfect. Very clean, well stocked kitchen for personal cooking, dishwasher and large refrigerator. Unless you have a physical handicap, the parking arrangements are not a problem, which are both fairly priced and well managed. Overall, great value for your money, especially with its great proximity to the city.
The penthouse was awesome! The response time was almost immediate if I had a need or question. The property was clean, and safe. A great location for a variety of restaurants bars and grocery stores.
Very attentive and responds quickly to messages. Very accommodating. Room has everything you could need, from pots and pans, washer/ dryer and even detergent. I would definitely stay again. lots of places to eat around the block and very walkable. Halls were very clean, and very well maintained.
I booked here thinking it’s a hotel as it’s mentioned but it’s more like an Airbnb it shouldn’t be listed as a hotel it’s misleading for people who are looking for a hotel
This was the first time I booked a room with Neighborhood Hotel, and I was great! I got the studio room and I felt like it was a room, instead of a hotel room; my partner and I really appreciated the space and the reasonable price. The washer/ dryer and yoga mat were great amenities to our stay. The room was very clean. Given the location and room size, the noise level was at a minimal. The phone and online service are amazing and fast; we were able to reach customer services very quickly. We loved the location, Little Italy, and all of the surrounding restaurants, coffee shops, and bakeries! It felt like we were part of the neighborhood. I would definitely book again.
I am normally an Airbnb fan, especially for my Chicago trips to visit my son and his girlfriend, but decided to check out hotels for this trip. I came across this one and due to its proximity to their respective apartments, thought it would be perfect --and it was! The location is on W. Taylor in Little Italy and it's so close to so much --great bars and restaurants appeared around (though we didn't try any of them --but they knew many of the places, including the little bakery right by the hotel and had good things to say). The place itself though is what I truly loved. It was like if an Airbnb and a hotel had a baby --the best of both worlds! It felt like my own little modern apartment in the city but I didn't have to take out the garbage or strip the beds like in an Airbnb, lol. It had a great open floor plan with a gas stove and fridge --even a dishwasher. My only tiny suggestion would be to have ice somewhere in the building. Even though it's a mostly full size fridge, it doesn't make ice. The bed was honestly the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in at a hotel --and I've stayed at A LOT of hotels. I loved the high ceilings and large windows; good lamp lighting and the tv was easy to use / navigate. Despite it being on a kind of busy street, it was pretty quiet inside and was across from a tiny little park. Loved the toiletries --high quality. And I also appreciated having a code that was the same for the main entry and my suite (instead of having to keep up with two separate codes or a key card). There is no staff on the premises so if you're someone who likes calling the front desk or likes daily housekeeping, this is probably not the place for you. My son and his girlfriend loved the place, too. Communication is all through text and generally quick / responsive. Overall, excellent experience and would definitely recommend.
Clean, family-friendly, well taken care of. This is our go-to Chicago hotel as a family with 4 kids. Love the full kitchen, multiple bedrooms and walking distance from great food. The bocce ball was a fun surprise!
Our suite had a comfortable contemporary feel, with great finishes and furnishings, big windows, super-high ceilings, and excellent beds. It was the perfect place to come home to after exploring the sights nearer the center of the city. The local Little Italy neighborhood has vibrant energy and is nice to walk around. Lots of food options close by, too, and some fun bars, too.
Great location and the room had everything you could need! Very easy check in process and great amenities. Would definitely recommend and stay again!
