A beautiful resort with the friendliest staff in a wonderful location.
Pros:

The overwater bungalow was very spacious, had all facilities, including a heated toilet seat, a large bath and was overall superb. The private pool, balcony, loungers and access to the bathwater warm sea were fabulous. It was luxurious. The beach was kept very clean and had gorgeous white and soft sand with plenty of loungers. It was amazing to see the fish through the glass floor in the restaurant whilst eating the sumptuous breakfast and delicious meals. The swimming pool was fabulous too.

The staff were all excellent with the best customer service I have experienced in Asia. They could not do enough for me and greeted me by name every morning even though the hotel was full for Chinese New Year which the staff also invited me to join in their celebration.

La plage est très très biien équipée...et entretenue
mais le caractère un peu vaseux, après quelques metres de sable, de la zone de baignade n'est pas très agréable !
... dommage qu'au breakfast les jus de fruits proposés ne soient pas pressés... mais à base de concentré du commerce.

Cons:

The beach and the view. The island is basically in front of the mainland so there's no feeling of an open sea. Also trash on the beach :(

Desayuno y restaurante, staff, tranquilidad. Playa y mar limpios

Cons:

La isla es muy pequeña así que con una estancia de más que una semana te acaban todas las opciones. No pasa nada si tienes libros y una cuenta de Netflix que era nuestro caso. Descancsa!

Experience genuine island life in a stunning 5 star resort
Pros:

We stayed in a king villa on the pier at the amazing Koh Apikjun resort.
With steps down into the water as well as your own small pool and deck it was totally relaxing and atmospheric.
The location was stunning. Despite being a 5 star resort it was soo relaxed and in touch with the real world.
A small fishing boat trip out to the reef for snorkelling, sunset cruise, kayaking, swimming and hiring an e-scooter to ride into the authentic fishing village.
Soo relaxing and also lots of fun.
The restaurant has a fresh tropical ambience with a pool out over the water and lots of comfy spots sit and have a drink.
Khmer people are exceptionally kind and cannot do enough for you. Koh Apikjun lived up to this reputation. The staff went above and beyond our expectations.
The food was beautiful and the breakfast buffet had heaps of variety.
It is unlikely that we will ever be able to visit again but we would stay at Koh Apikjun again in a heart beat if we had an opportunity.

Wonderful chalets over the sea, impeccable service and excellent restaurant with delicious sea food
Pros:

We were upgraded from a standard hotel room which we had booked - to one of the very beautiful chalet rooms which are on stilts over the water. So this was a wonderful bonus. The resort was quieter than usual because of the conflict on the border - although clearly the island is far enough away from the border to be at no risk at all. These rooms have a lovely balcony area to enjoy the sea views - a small plunge pool - a sitting room, with comfy settee and large smart TV , a kitchen area, bedroom and generous sized bathroom. They are high quality rooms - well maintained and serviced. Clean and comfortable.

The restaurant has a very varied menu - we ate there every night for the whole week we stayed on the lsland because there were plenty of options and the quality of the cooking was so good. The sea food - as you would expect for a hotel located by a fishing village - is extremely fresh and delicious. The breakfast options lean towards more Chinese options than European - but we found enough that suited us.

I must mention the restaurant staff - who were exceptional in their standard of service, unfailingly polite and attentive - and the restaurant supervisors had a high standard of English, so if they were not busy, they were very interesting to talk to about the topics of Cambodian life that interested us.

Cons:

This is not an issue with the hotel as such - but the island has fewer nice beaches than we had been led to expect by our guide book (the guide book was a bit misleading). There is the option of walking the short distance to the sister resort on the other side of the island where there is a nice beach and sometimes we walked further to one end where the small beach had some reasonable snorkelling - except it had a lot of rubbish around. There is also another resort beach that can be visited. The amount of plastic rubbish on the island is a bit depressing. I met someone who is leading a recycling project to encourage the collection and recycling of plastic waste - so there is some recognition of the issue, but the scale of the problem needs more than just a charity project I think, particularly if the island wants to maintain its tourism.

Pros:

Le personnel est exceptionnel, professionnel, à l'écoute et serviable. Le cadre est paradisiaque. Les services proposés, beaucoup sont gratuits (kayak, matériel de snorkeling, prise en charge). Franchement si vous voulez vous détendre et passer du bon temps foncez !

Fijn strand, restaurant voor avondeten (betaald) en kano gratis.

Cons:

Prijzen restaurant, beperkt assortiment ontbijt. Kamers zijn wel ruim maar kwaliteit afwerking laat te wensen over. Wij hebben 3 verschillende kamers gehad door steeds problemen. Uiteindelijk werd het wel opgelost.

A Blissful Escape at Koh Apikjun Resort

I recently had the most brilliant stay at Koh Apikjun Resort, and from the moment I arrived until my reluctant departure, everything was simply perfect. The entire team exudes warmth and genuine hospitality, making you feel like a cherished guest right away. A special shoutout goes to Samuth and Sambath at the restaurant—their attentiveness elevated every meal into a memorable experience. Don't miss the pizza; it's an absolute must-try, bursting with flavor, and the cocktails are just as impressive, crafted with care and creativity.

The accommodations were equally outstanding. The beds were incredibly comfortable, providing the perfect rest after a day of island adventures.

The island itself is paradise, with stunning turquoise blue waters that are calm and inviting—hardly any waves to disrupt the tranquility, which made it great to use on of the resort kayaks in the mornings.

The resort is surrounded by lush greenery and beautifully maintained gardens, adding to the overall sense of natural beauty and relaxation.

I can't recommend Koh Apikjun Resort enough and am already counting down the days until I can return! If you're seeking a peaceful, welcoming getaway, this is the spot.
