Modernt hotell med bra läge och pool på taket.
Pros:

Bra läge precis vid torget med ett antal restauranger. Poolen var fin och vi hade även en egen liten terrass med egen jacuzzi. Frukosten var god och vackert serverad på ett våningsfat men möjligen inte så personlig (man åt på caféet mittemot).

Cons:

DOMS har rationaliserat bort receptionen och man går in med kod till både ytterdörr och rum. Vi träffade ingen personal förrän vi skulle checka ut. Det kan vara effektivt ibland men är inte så boutique. Rummet var rent och fint, men ganska opersonligt, liksom hela huset.

I chose this hotel because I wanted to spend part of my holiday in the Mellieħa area, and the reviews were generally very positive.

Before booking, I had seen some reviews from about three months ago mentioning construction work nearby and the associated noise. However, since the hotel made no mention of it on its website and those reviews were several months old, I assumed the construction had already been completed.

Unfortunately, that was not the case. I found out the hard way when I was woken up at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday by the sound of construction work. It only got worse during breakfast. Dust from the construction was constantly blowing through the air, covering my phone and everything on the table. The drilling noise was so loud that I couldn’t even finish my breakfast and had to leave.

Another thing to be aware of when booking is that the hotel actually has two separate buildings. One is the main building, where the reception and swimming pool are located. The other building, where I stayed, is directly above the café where breakfast is served and right next to the construction site. The rooms in this building are much smaller and noticeably lower in quality than those in the main building.

I should also mention that the gentleman at the reception during check-in was quite rude and unwelcoming, which did not create a good first impression. The restaurant staff weren't very polite either. At breakfast, when the water we ordered didn't arrive for 5 minutes, we had to ask again, and the waitress's reaction was something like, 'wait, It'll be there in a minute.' Also, despite being quite expensive, the food I had at this restaurant was so bad it was practically inedible

Overall, I did not leave with good memories of my stay. If I return to Mellieħa in the future, I will definitely choose a different hotel.

We had a wonderful stay and would gladly return.
Pros:

Everything was exceptional. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the property was exactly as pictured. We especially enjoyed the breakfast, which was excellent. The location was fantastic, and the view of the church was absolutely beautiful.
