The Manoel Hotel

Excellent hotel. The only drawback was the hotel’s location- it is very central but lots of bars on the street and noise goes late.

All is good. Electricity went out one night. There was nobody in the hotel to talk to. They gave us an emergency phone which didn’t help

The hotel has a great location, lots of dining options and great for shopping and historical sites to visit. The staff was friendly and helpful.
My only negative point is that the hotel has not a pleasant small something like sewer

Great late-night check-in; everything as arranged with the hotel so very easy to access our room and collapse. The Hotel itself is clean, pleasant and pretty much in the centre, so only a very short walk to all attractions and restaurants. Nice little rooftop bar too. BUT...the are is noisy, often 'til 2am, and starting again with street cleaning, deliveries and repairs to shops from about 5.30am. Just be aware of the compromises for convenience.

Clean and great area.

The room is very nice, very clean. There is a lot of noise from the restaurants at night. The worst noise came from some kind of pump that kept us awake most of the night with 3 mins of thumping and then 6 mins of quiet over and over again. Maybe a room on the back would be better. Otherwise the hotel is lovely, great rooftop bar, nice breakfast. Lots of other restaurants and bars close by and lots of shopping too as well as sightseeing. Staff are very friendly. Great location!

They offer breakfast at a nearby location. Surprisingly,they offer both a buffet or cooked option including eggs benedict or smoked salmon. It was quite good.

Acho que não há localização melhor do que essa em Valetta, está próximo de tudo. O quarto é grande e confortável, e tem um chuveiro muito bom. Um ponto negativo é o check-out cedo, às 10h, enquanto outros hotéis oferecem saída às 11h ou até 12h. Outro ponto negativo é o café da manhã, oferecido por um restaurante parceiro. No meu primeiro dia (sábado) o buffet tinha várias opções (por exemplo: croissants). A partir de domingo a qualidade piorou e a quantidade de opções também diminuiu. O atendimento do café é lento, e por vezes a bebida chegava fria porque o barista já tinha feito o café há tempo e os funcionários estavam conversando entre si ou mexendo no celular. O hotel também poderia oferecer toalhas de praia, uma vez que esse é um destino comum para quem visita Malta e é comum em outros hotéis com diárias de valor similar.

Great location great room. Noisy part of town but that is what you would expect in the central location.

Nice room. Air-conditioning was quite good, which is imperative in Malta in the summer. Free water the first night, but for no nights after that.

Staff all very nice and friendly. Breakfast at another location (5-minute walk) was quite good and there, too, the staff were lovely.

Good, central location in walking distance of all that Valletta has to offer.

Good location, ideal for touring Valetta. Bus Station and Taxi's close by, excellent for shopping and dining. Staff friendly and helpful. Would definately stay here again.

The hotel was terrible and should have its licence revoked for safety violations! There was power outage one night. No lights, no elevator, exit lights not lit, no staff in the hotel!
On other nights the worst was the noise. Not just street noise, but live music played on the roof terrace of the hotel and in the streets till midnight or even past midnight one day. The windows were not damping the noise at all.
Untrained and unhelpful staff was absent from evening till morning.
Scolding hot water in the shower was almost impossible to adjust without getting severily burned. This was dangerous! Water from lavatory faucet was also impossible to adjust and was shooting scolding hot or cold out of the bowl on an unexpecting person.
The hotel is absolutely terrible!

It was a great stay overall. Definitely loud staying over the Main Street, but it’s worth the great location. The rooftop terrace is great with an even better view. Would absolutely stay here again the next time in Malta

Centralt beliggende med altan, som er for lille til at opholde sig på, ud til gågaden, masse af mad muligheder. Dog en del støj om aften og natten. Aircondition var ikke særlig godt kølede ikke meget.
Morgenmad foregik ikke på hotellet, her skulle man gå 2 gader. Maden var middelmådig, der var tit noget de ikke havde og de var langsomme til at fylde op i buffeten.

Lovely hotel in a great location. Very nice room, well equipped. Bathrobe and slippers a nice touch.
Lovely breakfast, off-site but close.
Very helpful staff.

Only downside is it’s on a very noisy street with loud music playing late into the night

Very responsive staff regarding late check-in. Uber dropped us half a block away. Location ideal to explore Valletta on foot. Room is enormous and bed comfy. We didn’t think to check Malta outlets ahead of time for our one-day side trip from Italy; thankfully the room had USB ports to charge phones. Cool rooftop terrace view (& elevator). Breakfast is a short walk away; much better than typical w choice of menu items in addition to buffet.

The hotel is situated in a great location , with shops, bars and restaurants nearby. Staff are friendly and helpful. Clean and tidy room. The only down side is the soundproof of the hotel , very noisy from the street outside. Next to the hotel there’s a construction work going on , which was very noisy when they start work in the morning.

Ein super zentral gelegenes Hotel. Wir sind durch und durch mit unserem Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel zufrieden. Tolle Aussichr vom niedlichen Balkon aus, wie auch von der atemberaubenden Dachterrasse.

Das Zimmer sehr geräumig, einzig das Bett etwas klein für 2, aber es geht. Alles vorhanden was man braucht, von Föhn, Tresor, toplavazza Kaffeemaschine, Bademäntel etc.

Das Frühstück befindet sich in eienm Lokal ausserhalb des Hotels. Super abwechslungsreiches Buffet und alles sehr lecker und mit viel Herz geführt.


Der Emüfang war super freundlich und angenehm, Johanna P. Macht ihren Job ausgezeichnet und weiss wie Gäste empfangen werden. Vielen Dank. Auf jeden Fall würden wir dieses Hotel wieder buchen.
