Good and prompt service when asked for, i like friendliness of the staff and the restaurant upstairs. Room 306 needs some maintenance and attentin, but the view from the room is amazing.
Thanks to the people at the front desk and the restaurant.
THE PRICE ISGRAT AND THE EXPERIENCE IS TRULY WORTH IT, I WOULD STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN AND RECOMMEND IT WITH GREAT PLEASURE.

Very Disappointing Experience
I stayed at the hotel for 7 days and faced many issues during my stay. Initially, I had booked during the time of the war between Iran and Israel, and all flights were canceled. I tried to cancel the reservation and paid $16 to Expedia for full refund protection, but the hotel refused to refund the money.
Later, I rebooked for different dates, but the photos on the website were completely different from reality, especially the single rooms. When I spoke with the management, they told me to cancel the second booking and pay another deposit to deduct part of the amount, but I couldn’t do that due to personal reasons.
The first room I got had insects in the bathroom, so I asked to change it. They did, but the second room also had several problems:
The fridge wasn’t working
The hairdryer was just for decoration
The TV didn’t work

The window opened to a basement area where they washed towels, so I couldn’t open it

Also, there was no daily housekeeping unless requested, and I didn’t know that—I thought it would be automatic like in any normal hotel.

Breakfast was cold, not varied, and of very low quality.
As for the rooftop café, the prices were extremely high, and I felt it was a clear rip-off, especially since cafés outside the hotel were much cheaper.

Unfortunately, my overall experience was very disappointing, and I do not recommend this hotel at all.

One stop travel shop, single mingle social
Pros:

From the moment we arrived at this authentic boutique hotel, we were immersed in an atmosphere of warmth, charm, and understated luxury. The staff were exceptional—genuinely kind, attentive, and always going the extra mile to ensure every detail of our stay was perfect.

The location is simply ideal: tucked into a vibrant, walkable area yet peaceful enough to feel like a hidden gem. Everything we needed was within reach, from cultural sights and cafés to local artisan shops.

The hotel itself is a visual delight—thoughtfully designed with tasteful touches that reflect local heritage and craftsmanship. Every corner feels curated with love, and the ambiance strikes a rare balance between cozy and elegant.

Service was seamless, from a smooth check-in to personalized daily recommendations. The in-house spa was a sanctuary of relaxation—we left feeling rejuvenated after their signature treatments.

We also booked a few of the hotel’s curated tours, which turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. The guides were knowledgeable and engaging, offering unique insights that brought the area’s history and culture to life.

And the rooftop restaurant? Breathtaking. The panoramic views alone are worth the visit, but combine that with a refined menu and exceptional flavors, and you have an unforgettable dining experience under the stars.

This hotel isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a place to savor. I can’t recommend it enough.

Pros:

It's a very basic hotel but the room is more than enough for the price, its very big which makes it convenient if you have big suitcases. The breakfast is limited but good. Consider that they don't do housekeeping unless you ask for it.
What makes this place top is their people. The staff is very nice and helpful, Faisal and Mohammed were the best help during my stay, always willing to help.
Over all, i enyoyed my stay and i recommend it.

Downtown Convenience
Pros:

The hotel was in a good location just across from the Roman Theater, which is why we chose it. We had excellent views of the Roman Theater while enjoying breakfast buffet on the rooftop. The hotel, however, is a little old and "tired", although the room was a good size. Not sure if the vacuum cleaner was broken, but carpets in the hallway could have been a little cleaner. The price was good value, but in retrospect, we should have chosen a hotel closer to Rainbow St. We were very close to the Gold Souk and enjoyed the downtown area, getting a glimpse of local life. The fruit and vegetable souk was a highlight!

Good location let down badly by state of room
Pros:

GOOD POINTS
The hotel is well located in the downtown area of Amman meaning easy access to the city and areas of interest. View from room was spectacular with unhindered view of amphitheatre.
Bedding and towels were clean
Fridge in room

BAD POINTS
Far too many things to mention:
Bathroom was a nightmare - loose loo seat, no shower curtain meaning either soaking floor or minimal shower as also no bath plug to bath, extractor fan mounted in cardboard gaffa taped over window, bath and surround old, tired and dirty with so much sealant all over, sink was covered in what appeared to be soap scum on arrival. Smell from drains was bad on occasion.
BATHROOM BEARS NO RESEMBLANCE TO ANY PHOTOS AND WE BOOKED THE "DELUXE" ROOM
Bedroom - carpet looked as if hadn't been cleaned for years and was lifting badly at boundary to tiles.
Noise - the window had double set of double glazed panels but the outer pair were slid to one side and no access to close fully.
Noise - we were on the 5th floor (room 506) and constant scraping as tables were dragged around on the rooftop bar area, loud live music played until around 2300 but then on 2 nights about midnight music kicked off again
No safe in room
Lift - the lift door is hard to open as manual push open but also opens right by edge of stairs so much care required to avoid falling / tripping.

Clean, welcoming, and comfortable!
Pros:

My first time in Jordan and I booked this hotel very last minute. It’s location is amazing, many shops, stores, and areas to explore just minutes of walking. The staff is very welcoming and helpful.
There is a restaurant at the rooftop with delicious food, coffee and tea. You can book tours through the hotel if you’d like for must-see places such as Petra, Dead Sea, Wadi Rum etc. There is airport pick up and drop off available by request as well, which is really helpful especially when arriving for the first time or if you are arriving late after midnight.
I’d recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay comfortably at a great price, while being able to walk and explore the shops, markets and all of downtown.

Pros:

Value. The staff are helpful, and I felt safe because of them. They helped arrange transportation also (which I also recommend). Some upgrades could be made (the extra lock on my door was missing, for instance, but they are renovating some floors already), but I'd certainly return.

Lovely staff, great tours
Pros:

Hotel had a great rooftop with beautiful views over the city. The staff were super friendly. Louis was also amazing at organising a tailored tour. I was a solo female traveller and felt in very safe hands with Louis and his drivers. I’d definitely recommend.

Disappointing Stay at Basah Hotel
Pros:

I recently stayed at Basah Hotel in Amman, and unfortunately, my experience was far from ideal. The hotel is very old, not clean, and extremely noisy due to parties on the roof and traffic from the street. While the price is cheap, the overall quality reflects that—what you pay is truly what you get.

The staff at the front desk were friendly and accommodating, which was a positive aspect. When I requested to move rooms because of the noise on the 5th floor, they handled my request politely. However, the overall state of the hotel overshadowed their kindness.

I would not recommend this hotel to those looking for a comfortable or peaceful stay. It might suit budget travelers, but be prepared for significant compromises in cleanliness and quietness.
