Breakfast was comprehensive. The wealth of fresh fruit very good. The fresh fruit juices were watered down ( see below ). The variety of cold drinks was impressive. The fresh salad vegetables seemed rather muddled, with preserved meat spread among them. The freshly cooked omelettes were very good. The spread of pastries was excellent, with sweet and savoury items equally full of flavour. Coffee was very good, especially caffelatte and caffe macchiato.
In the restaurant, all the staff were polite and pleasant. The waiter Geremew was particularly helpful, and remembered my preference for white coffee every day, without needing to ask what sort of coffee I preferred. He was always ready with a welcoming smile, and asking how I was enjoying my stay.
In the ground floor bar, the waiter Habte was always truly professional, quietly polite and entering into conversation about my visit to the city. He deserves to be recognised for his ability to welcome visitors to the hotel with ease.
The most disappointing feature of breakfast was that all the fresh fruit juices were watered down.
Rooms were spacious. Close to the airport. Free airport shuttle. Breakfast included.

The only place I’ve ever stayed that requires a swimmer’s cap to use the pool which we didn’t have so we couldn’t swim
First time in Addis, and I must say this is by far the best hotel I’ve experienced after traveling extensively across different countries. The staff are exceptionally friendly and quick to respond, the food is outstanding, and the facilities—gym, pool, and more—are top-notch. What makes it even more special is how seamlessly they weave their rich culture into the service experience.
I was fortunate to celebrate the Ethiopian New Year (2018) with them, and it was truly unforgettable.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone planning a visit to Addis.
Nothing really that I din't like.
1) good buffet breakfast (though muesli and a better fruit and greek yogurt offering would have been appreciated)
2) free shuttle bus service (though better instructions on how to find the bus would be helpful in a carpark full of identical white minibuses)
3) the lobby area was a fun place to hang out for a casual meal and drink
4) good shower
1) our arrival was a farce - we had booked up a twin room months in advance but when we arrived we were told no twin rooms were available
2) I had asked for a quiet room with a nice view and received a second floor room with a cracked window facing a busy main road
3) the air-con/heating didn't work properly so the room was too cold
4) all the pillows offered were very big, I prefer a softer, less full one
- room and bathroom is clean, daily room service, replace water bottles too
- daily buffet breakfast was great and so convenient
- 24/7 reception staff who were attentive
- gym was well equipped (x4 treadmills, a step machine, weights etc)
- we didn’t use the pool but its indoors and was well staffed
- atm on the property and next door too
- tv isn’t a smart tv with Netflix or other apps. But does have ability to Cast (although didn’t work for us)
- there are two other Best Westerns so sometimes the uber would get confused
- it’s not super close to any restaurants, you can walk 100-200m to a cafe or salt burger (there is a cafe lobby)
