Managed by a private host
Quite and away from city
Nothing as a showstopper. The host is very good
And helpful. Only thing I would mention is that there is no elevator so you would need to take stairs
Gentilezza e disponibilità del personale
Colori e ambiente carino
Balcone
Colazione tipica abbondante
Da rivedere la pulizia e rimodernare il bagno e le zone comuni
Good vegetarian breakfast - 100egp/person
Near airport
Late checkin is ok
Weak wifi, no signal in our room
No hair drier
No toilet paper, we had to ask for it
Located on the banks of the Nile, near the cataracts, on the west bank on the edge of the Nubian village. Amr, the host is quite helpful. The hotel was very good with views across the nile. Accessibility is a an issue, as it is far away from Aswan east bank where most of the action is. It is in the Nubian Village and hence visiting it is a piece of cake. It is quite close to Philae temple, and the airport though! We booked two rooms one with a breakfast but none were provided.
Accessibility is a an issue, as it is far away from Aswan east bank. Breakfast for one room not provided.
Breakfast was amazing! The security were also very friendly but he was sleeping in the kitchen to check the CCTV.
I was able to get accommodation without a reservation, but communicating with the gatekeeper was extremely difficult. She first made me promise not to tell anyone what I had said, then demanded cash at a rate higher than the price listed on Booking.com. When I said that I could only pay through Booking.com, she said, "I prepared this room for you; if you don’t have enough money, ask your father to pay," treating me like a child. I’m 32 years old. Eventually, I managed to pay online.
Furthermore, the hotel owner looked up the meaning of my name in Arabic based on my Japanese name and shared it with me while laughing. There was no sense of professionalism at all. The behavior was extremely rude and disappointing. It was a stark reminder, when traveling in developing countries, of how low the level of awareness and professionalism of some local staff can be.
I had a roof over my head…
It needs a LOT of cleaning, fixing and repairs.
Shower is literally on top of the toilet, and the toilet base was leaking all the time.
Pillows had huge yellow spots, they offer food but every time I asked there was nothing.
My room with the nile view is superb. Good toilet and shower. Nice traditional Nubian food
