all good, we read some reviews beforehand and we could not fault in any way. Well worth a visit.
Hotel bar and restaurant, excellent food in both and very hospitable staff despite being very busy with large groups.
Good safe car park available. Bedroom large and comfortable.
The very, very small shower room. There was no where to hang towels and the shower was quite difficult to get into and out of if you had any type of disability.

Breakfast good, room clean but compact. It was on the 5th floor overlooking the canal but close to the dual carriage way flyover so noisy. No air con and very hot the day we arrived. The location was good for access into the city. It was about a 15 minute walk from the train station.

No air conditioning. Rooms tired and hotel in general is tired and needs updating. For example the letter a on the word spa on the hotel sign has dropped off. That is a reflection of the general condition of the hotel. The sauna and thus the steam room were apparently being refurbished and were closed.

A little dated
I have to be gluten free and this was catered for easily. Breakfast was great. The room was a little small e.g. no shelves to put clothes on, but hanging space was good. For a short stay it was good. Location ideal for the town, buses and trains. We were lucky to have a room looking at the canal. What a pleasure.
I don’t think it would be possible with the size of the room, but a shelf to unpack clothes would have been good. However it was only a small issue.
