Nice place unsure if its worth what they charge.
Pros:

Our stay at Simpsons was an enjoyable one. The views from our room were great, it was up in the hills in a quiet location which was also very nice. The morning nature walk with Isurur was my wifes highlight of our stay he was very knowledgable and showed some great things around the property. View from the pool was very nice as well and the rooms were a good size.

Cons:

The price of the food and drink I thought was quit high. We ended up trying to eat elsewhere because of the costs but this is hard as it is away from everything. While the pool and gym were super nice being as they are a little trek away from any room means we did not use them as much as we would of liked and they also close the pool what I thought was quite early 7pm. We also found that in the evening for some reason our bathroom would start to smell at bit.

Buen hotel a las afueras de Kandy para desconectar y relajarse. Lo mejor de todo es que en el precio se incluye un paseo guiado o safari a pie por los alrededores del hotel de unos 30 minutos, la persona que guía el paseo es un apasionado de los animales y te muestra multitud de aves, plantas y curiosidades, fue un autentico placer y una muy buena experencia

Cons:

El restaurante del hotel tiene buena calidad, pero en las cenas la única opción es buffet y es un poco caro, estaría bien que la cena también pudiera ser a la carta

Le cadre est magnifique ! La chambre est confortable avec une vue époustouflante.

Hidden Gem In Kandy Sri Lanka

Highly recommend this resort! The service provided by the restaurant staff—Buddika (Chef), Chandana, Imalka, Janidu, Waruna, and Sandamal—was outstanding. A special thanks also to the front desk staff, Hiruni and Hansi, for their warm hospitality.

The resort is in a beautiful location, the food is delicious, and our stay was absolutely worth it with no regrets. If you’re looking to escape the busy pace of everyday life, this is the perfect place. There are plenty of activities to enjoy within the resort, so once you check in, there’s no need to go anywhere else.

Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so memorable. We look forward to visiting again!

Cons:

If the pool had been climate-controlled, it would have made the experience 100% perfect. However, it was still great overall, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay

We chose this hotel for our honeymoon, and it was the best decision we could have made! We absolutely loved everything about our stay.

The room, the food, the hospitality, the service, and the professionalism were all outstanding.

We would especially like to thank Imalka. She took such great care of us, paid attention to every little detail, and was always so kind, cheerful, and welcoming.

L’environnement de l’hôtel est très beau, ainsi que sa piscine avec vue sur les montagnes.

Cons:

La piscine est loin de l’hôtel, il faut demander un buggy pour y aller, et retourner à l’hôtel, on perd donc pas mal de liberté. L’eau de la piscine était froide.
Nous n’avons pas trouvé que le service et l’hôtel en lui même étaient au niveau d’un 5 étoiles.

Heavenly hotel with spectacular views
Pros:

Idyllic and serene hotel set in beautiful grounds and offers spectacular views of the local area. The hotel was immaculately clean throughout and the welcome and service we received from all of the staff was incredible. Thanks in particular though to Isuru for the wonderful morning nature walk which we thoroughly enjoyed along with Hansi and Shanendra. We opted to stay on a half board basis and were so happy that we did because the food was of a very high standard, delicious and beautifully presented (the hotel were also accommodating with menu options that catered for members of our party who were vegetarian/had a nut allergy). The hotel has great facilities (spa/pool/gym) and offers a range of different activities. I’m just sorry that we weren’t able to stay longer than one night.

Stunning views, privacy and pure nature - excellent vacation!
Pros:

In May 2026, my wife and I stayed at the beautiful Simpson’s Forest Hotel. The large, private area featured birds, deer, and other animals. The complimentary tour lasted about an hour, showing us tea plantations, coffee, and spices. The guide even gifted us a wild just picked pomelo.
The hotel rooms were immaculate, modern, and luxurious. We enjoyed a warm welcome, live music dinner, and a delicious breakfast. Overall, we were thoroughly pleased with the entire stay.
Reception management Hansi and Shane were exceptional, assisting us with every request. We also want to thank our guide, Ish, who led the complimentary tour - sincere thanks to all three!

A special thank you to Chef Ranga Witenuyake for the exceptionally delicious food and royal-quality presentation. Imalka was always cheerful, attentive, and took care of every detail with a warm smile. Gunasekara was incredibly kind and made our trekking experience even more enjoyable.

Highly recommended, and I would happily stay here again!
