Es ist ein Erlebnis, gute Ort unter die Sterne, jedoch jeder soll für sich selbst entscheiden ob das Kosten für Übernachtung, Lift und Verpflegung, sowie dazu fallenden Kosten für Getränke ihn wert sind.

Cons:

Die Duschen, die überlaufen beim Duschen, und mir fehlt das Österreich feeling, außerdem überteuert. Habe anders alles in Erinnerung, werde definitiv nicht mehr kommen.

Hat uns gut gefallen, gerne wieder.
Pros:

Sehr freundliches Personal und gepflegte sanitäre Anlagen. Die Einrichtung im Zweibettzimmer war schon etwas alt, aber auch hier war alles sauber.
Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und hatten es sehr bequem. Super Ausgangslage für verschiedene Wanderungen, u. a. zum Hohen Gjaidstein.

Cons:

- dass man die Tür nicht absperren konnte
- für ein Zweibettzimmer eher teuer im Vergleich zu AV-Almhütten, auch unter Berücksichtigung der Lage und dass Hauptsaison herrschte

Pros:

The hosts were beyond pleasant and so hospitable. We stayed at Gjad alm out of season (mid October) and so were the only guests one night. The staff made sure we had everything we needed and were very friendly.

The food was fantastic - multiple courses of delicious home cooked Nepalese food (amazing Sherpa soup !)

Absolutely stunning location - lovely to wake up to a view of the glacier in the morning, and to see the clouds rolling in.

Cons:

It's a lovely, simple hotel that definitely does everything it needs to. The only (but significant) drawback of staying here are the additional hidden costs that you need to factor into your budget for the trip.

On top of the cost of the room per night, there's a €40 per person per night half board cost for the food there (basic breakfast + filling tea)

You will also have to pay for the cost of getting to Gjaid alm which works out at around £60/person via the cable cars (the tickets are also only valid for one trip each way - so factor that in if you're staying for more than one night)

There is also an additional charge of €3 for 4 minutes in the shower at the hotel. And a city tax to pay when you leave another €3 per person per night.

As long as you're expecting these costs, it is more than worthwhile and we'd highly recommend the hotel.
