zum Nordlicht suchen ganz o.k.
Pros:

nicht zuviel licht ums hotel was beim nordlicht gucken hilft ( weckservice ) .
hot tub und sauna gibts gratis dazu

Unser Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel hat uns wirklich begeistert! Besonders aufmerksam fanden wir den Nordlicht-Service – sobald die Lichter zu sehen waren, wurden wir sofort angerufen. Das Team war jederzeit hilfsbereit, hat uns bei der Planung von Touren unterstützt und sich bei allen Fragen oder Anliegen Zeit genommen.

Ein echtes Plus ist die 24-Stunden-Maschine für Kaffee und heiße Schokolade – perfekt nach einem langen Tag in der Kälte. Auch das hoteleigene Restaurant hat hervorragend gekocht. Die Preise sind, wie überall in Island, etwas höher, aber absolut angemessen für die Qualität.

Unser Zimmer war sehr schön und komfortabel. Der Duschstrahl hätte etwas stärker sein können, und der typische Schwefelgeruch in der Gegend (durch die Geysire) ist manchmal wahrnehmbar – dafür kann das Hotel natürlich nichts. Dafür waren die Hot Pots und die Sauna einfach großartig und haben das Erlebnis perfekt abgerundet.

Insgesamt hatten wir ein fantastisches Erlebnis und würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

Cons:

Ein kleiner Verbesserungsvorschlag: Die Einfahrt war oft sehr vereist und rutschig. Hier könnte man vielleicht besser streuen oder salzen, um die Anfahrt sicherer zu machen.

Great location and breakfast!
Pros:

Excellent breakfast buffet with a selection of traditional Icelandic dishes like pickled herring! The staff were friendly and helpful answering our questions. They have a hot tub nearby and provide guests with thick robes to wear-ask for them at the front desk. The front desk also has a coffee station. The lobby is decorated with taxidermied birds and animals local to the area. We recommend the nearby bird museum and the park headquarters.

Cons:

We arrived around 8:30 and the restaurant was too busy to get seated. We were allowed to eat a pizza at the bar.

Pros:

Cozy beds, great restaurant, Myvatn Ol brewery on property! We didnt try the hot tubs and instead went a very close distance to Myvatn Bath hot springs! Wish we had one more day here! oh and- there was an alert you can sign up if the northern lights were out!

Pros:

location by the lake and walking paths; breakfast included' availability of free tea/coffee anytime (very important for me); room with table and chair and drawers and closet

Cons:

not much food options for those allergic to dairy; not many options for vegetarian proteinaceous food made without animal fat or stock. having small refrigerator would have been good especially for vacationers with mutilple days stays.

Pick this place, you will have a great experience
Pros:

Amazing location. Rooms super clean, spacious with comfortable beds, updated feel in the rooms despite older hotel. Common spaces are kitschy and fun. Lobby coffee machine was awesome. Staff were great, dining delicious

Cons:

We stayed several days in summer and while there are midges it truly was not bad at all. We brought headnets but didn’t really use them.

Lækkert stort værelse og badeværelse og fin morgenmad

Cons:

Personalet var ikke særlig søde, der kom en spydig kommentar fra en af dem som arbejder i restauranten

Min kæreste ville købe dessert og spurgte om køkkenet havde åbent og der blev bare svaret “hvad tror du selv”
Det er ikke særlig god service

Two days in a beautiful place and in a great location
Pros:

Beautiful place, really good staff, kindness and availability. The possibility to have water, coffee, tea for free, the possibility to have a rest in the sauna and in the hot water pool was a great experience!!! Great breakfast!! Good restaurant!!
