Title: Great location, but the dirty carpet is a disaster
Review:
The hotel is in a very good location, which is a big plus. However, the room itself was a disaster in terms of cleanliness. The carpet was so incredibly dirty that I genuinely hesitated whether to take off my shoes at all, and I felt extremely uncomfortable even going to sleep there. It is impossible to function normally with this level of filth. Great location, but the carpet condition is unacceptable.
Great pool and amenities! Food at pool is also excellent and the staff were friendly and accommodating! The included breakfast was also extremely good with lots of options!
Rooms are snug but manageable. Perhaps a small store at the hotel with essentials (sunscreen, milk etc) would have been nice instead of walking to the market in the heat but this wouldn’t stop me staying again
The property is a boutique Style hotel all the rooms have been refurbished and it's very clean, the staff are extremely friendly and the overall experience was very good.
I liked how it was easy to go round the property and it had everything that you need in a compact area without walking miles to go to your room. Swimming pool was very nice.. and swimming area was very clean. The toilets at the swimming pool or excellent.
Main quality of the hotel is the very refined design. Beasutiful, conceptual, it kind of follows the original from Palm Springs, Californian Modernism of the 40's, 50's. Every object is carefully chosen, either collectible midcentury design, either custom built to fit the concept. Staff is extremely polite.
The music by the pool is extremely loud, as for a 2 AM big room disco not as for a relaxing day by the pool. Conversation, socializing, relaxing or reading were impossible, I really hope this can be improved. The sound is also very harsh, a pain to the years and one cannot escape it on the premises as it is everywhere between 12.00 and 18.00 when the DJ plays (good selection of tunes thoughg). I told my impression to the staff and it seemed I was't the first to raise this issue but of course nothing improved.

The pool area was beautiful and well maintained. The location was also convenient, and the rooms were comfortable, although small.
I don’t think this hotel deserves a 5-star rating,it is a 4-star hotel at best. The breakfast had almost no variety and was exactly the same every day. There was an egg menu, but no one informed us about it; we only found out after asking ourselves. The service was consistently slow and inattentive. During every single breakfast, we had to wait a long time just to get coffee or place an order, and staff often stood with our food until we told them it was ours. Housekeeping was also disappointing. One day the bed sheets were clearly not changed, they forgot to replace the toilet paper, and the room was not cleaned thoroughly. There was even a dead bug behind the curtain, between the curtain and the balcony door, that remained there throughout our stay, suggesting that area was never properly cleaned. The pool was nice, but even there we often waited 15–20 minutes before someone came to take our order.

One of the reasons we picked the hotel was the pool. However: it turns out the relatively small pool area is overrun with people who are not staying at the hotel, and who are not necessarily well behaved. Also, there is very loud music on Sundays. We were planning to spend one of our days at the pool but we had to leave early. We were not happy we spent good money for a pool we effectively couldn’t use.
