George & Dragon Pub is a perfect combination of a hostel and a way to meet the locals over a beer
Pros:

I had no idea that the hostel is located above an Irish-style pub, and that was a delightful surprise. The room I had was on the 1st floor, but there was no noise from the pub downstairs even though they had a live Irish group of musicians playing. The room was big, the shared bathroom was clean and easily accessible, and the pub food+drink was excellent. The owner running the place is super nice, lots of fun to chat with over a beer, and just being able to sit in the pub in the evenings and meet the local people was awesome. I love this hostel!

Cons:

The hostel is a short walk outside the city centre, so if you don’t like walking a bit, it might not be your cup of tea… however, there is a bus stop right outside the hostel and the tram to the airport is a 5-minute walk up the street.

I had a wonderful stay. The location was excellent and I felt at home.

I had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this place. The location was excellent and made everything very convenient.

Maria was incredibly amicable and always supportive whenever I needed anything, which made the experience even more pleasant. The building and the room were extremely clean, and you could genuinely feel and even smell how fresh everything was.

The bedsheets, pillows, and cozy furry cover were very comfortable, and the room itself felt warm and inviting. The heating system was especially handy during the colder days, making it even more comfortable.

Overall, I truly felt at home during my stay. Thank you for such a great experience!

Si vous arrivez en avance, ne réservez pas cet hôtel. Ils ne proposent même pas de service de bagagerie. J’avais réservé pour 4 nuits, mais j’ai dû annuler et réserver une autre nuit dans un autre hôtel. J’ai quitté l’établissement dès le lendemain. Il faisait froid et l’expérience a été vraiment horrible.

Cons:

Σκοτεινό, βρόμικο, έχουν μια γάτα που την βρήκανε στο δωμάτιο μου (πήγε πάνω στο κρεββάτι;) για φύλαξη από ποντίκια (!!!)
Μια έγχρωμη παλιά πετσέτα του μπάνιου (μόνο καθαρή όψη δεν είχε, όπως και τα σεντόνια έγχρωμα (σε πόσους βαθμούς πλένονται ;)
Το μπάνιο/τουαλέτα βρώμικα, σε άλλο όροφο, ο διάδρομος/σκάλες δεν είναι φωτισμένα, στην εξωτερική πόρτα του δωματίου μου, υπήρχε μια μπουκάλα υγραερίου (!!!)
Δεν μπόρεσα να μείνω, την επόμενη το πρωί, ενημέρωσα την υπεύθυνη ότι έφευγα και ζήτησα να μου ακυρώσει την υπόλοιπη διαμονή, αλλά δεν το δέχτηκε και ήθελε να επιστρεψω τα κλειδιά, επίμονα.. τα κλειδιά τα επέστρεψα μια μέρα πριν από την αναχώρηση της κράτησης.
Το μέρος είναι ένα σκοτεινό μπάρ, μοιάζει και σαν χώρο αποθήκης σε κάποια σημεία του. Ο χώρος δεν φαίνεται να αερίζεται. Εκτός ώρας λειτουργίας του μπαρ, δεν είναι κανείς εκεί, πρέπει να κλειδώνεις/ξεκλείδωνες την πόρτα.

Pros:

Sehr gute Lage mit guter Anbindung an Bus und Tram.
Schönes, großes Zimmer. Das abgedeckte Minifenster hat mich nicht gestört.
Im Pub gibt es gutes Essen, leckeres Guiness und vieles mehr.
Zuerst dachte ich, dass mich die Chefin am liebsten los werden würde, aber sie entpuppte sich als äußerst nett, hilfsbereit und liebenswürdig.
Tankstelle in der Nähe.

Cons:

Das Haus ist sehr hellhörig. Wenn im Pub richtig was los ist, sollte man Ohropax zur Hand haben:-).
Im Zimmer war es etwas kühl, aber das warme, gemütliche Oberbett hat mich geschützt.:-)
In der Dusche kam kein warmes Wasser. Vielleicht hätte ich noch länger warten sollen, aber es kam mir schon wie eine Ewigkeit vor:-).
