Friendly staff & a great breakfast buffet, but several promises and room expectations did not match
Pros:

The staff speaks great english and was extremely polite and friendly, especially considering it was very busy during Tet (New Year). I accidentally booked the wrong month initially, and the team helped me change the reservation quickly and were available via WhatsApp and Call within minutes to assist us. They were very accommodating and even offered to prepare a takeaway breakfast for us because we had a very early trip and could not attend the buffet. Overall, it felt like the staff genuinely tried to provide good service. The decoration for Tet was beautiful and if you ignore the things from the pictures attached the rooms is very beautiful - just like in the picture! The breakfast buffet was also very good.

Cons:

While the staff was friendly, there were several situations where things were promised but did not work out in the end. For example, the hotel kindly offered a free airport pickup, which was appreciated, but the bus was overfilled and I had to sit on my friend’s lap for about 50 minutes.

The biggest issue for me was the room category. I booked two Premium Ocean View rooms, which cost about 300,000 VND more per night than the Bay View category. However, the actual view did not match the photos or the expectation of an “ocean view.” From inside the room you mainly see the city, and the sea is only slightly visible if you step onto the balcony, lean over, and look to the left. I added a picture of my “Premium Ocean View,” so you can decide yourself what should reasonably be considered an ocean view.

When I raised this with the staff, they explained that the room we received was technically the correct category in their system and that no other rooms with a better view were available because the hotel was fully booked. I understand that this may be how the room is categorized internally, but from a guest’s perspective the visible view does not match the expectation when reading “Premium Ocean View” and seeing the photos shown online. We also received two free massage vouchers. When checking in, I asked if we should book immediately because it was very busy during Tet, but I was told booking 4 hours in advance would be enough. When we tried to book two days in advance, everything was already fully booked and we were only able to get one slot during our 4 days stay. On the day of the appointment we were then asked to move the time from 12:00 to 17:00 due to delays

There were also some maintenance and cleanliness issues, such as dirty dishes left in hallway corners, a dripping air conditioner in the elevator, loose elevator panels that were taped, very dirty balcony glass, and a bathroom with mold and a leaking shower that flooded the floor of the toilet.

Great hotel in a great location
Pros:

Amazing stay in a really nice hotel, with incredibly friendly staff who go the extra way to make sure your journey is comfortable and nice. Really great hospitality, will come back, the room was spacious, had great seaside views, and the gym and the spa were very nice. The breakfast in floor 41 is also very tasty and the views are extremely nice. Thanks to all the staff of the hotel for working so hard during Tet, the hospitality was one of the best I have seen.

My stay in Quy Nhon and lovely Grand Hyams Hotel.
Pros:

Room was fabulous so big and spacious. A had a great ocean view. Hotel staff very good and friendly . One staff member on the help desk , Charlie was so good. Helped me buy a train ticket to Danang City. Without Charlie's help I would not have got a ticket as it is coming up to Tet Holiday and many people are travelling. Charlie spoke excellent English and speaks Korean too. If I am in Quy Nhon again I would stay at this hotel. Excellent facilities , beach is 30 second walk and many restaurants and coffee places nearby .Quy Nhon is lovely laid back place.
