New Abu Simbel Tourist Hotel

La amabilidad del dueño y de todo el personal. Personas muy cálidas y serviciales. Cenamos en el hotel y la comida estaba riquísima. Es un hotel para recomendar para quienes quieren disfrutar Abu Simbel en un ambiente muy acogedor.

Le personnel est vraiment toujours prêt à rendre service, que ce soit pour les transferts aéroport, le véhicule pour aller/retour aux temples, pour les repas, pour faire une promenade en bateau l'après-midi (habituellement cette activité se fait au lever du soleil). Ici le service aux clients est vraiment à un haut niveau.

La chambre était confortable, la climatisation efficace et indispensable. La salle de bain était un peu petite mais très fonctionnelle. Mesdames prévoyez une charlotte (bonnet de bain) pour la douche qui est en pluie depuis le plafond.

Les petits déjeuner et les diners pris à l'hôtel étaient bons, le service s'adapte à vos horaires.

Si vous souhaitez assister au son/lumière demandez les billets à l'hôtel, ils ne sont pas vendus sur place. (Avis personnel: Nous avons été déçus par ce son/lumière que nous avons trouvé peu lumineux avec des commentaires vieillots).

オーナーのハマダさん以下スタッフみなさんはみなフレンドリーでホスピタリティにあふれ、日本語が話せる方も多く子連れでも安心です。ホテルは新しく非常に清潔。併設するレストランの料理も美味しく、特にフィッシュスープはエジプト料理に疲れはじめていた子どもたちに大好評でした。
HamoさんにはWhatsAppを通した事前の相談から滞在期間中にアブシンベル神殿まで送迎してもらうなど本当にお世話になりました。
「ゲストは家族」「ゲストの第二の家」というオーナーの基本姿勢をスタッフの皆さんが実現しようと努力されているのを感じることがどきます。素晴らしい滞在を提供いただきありがとうございました。

Cet hôtel est incroyable. Nous avons été accuillis comme de la famille. Le personnel est adorable et hyper accueillant, les chambres sont propres et bien équipées et la nourriture est fraiche et délicieuse. On s’est sentis en sécurité comme dans un cocon. Mohamed, Ali et Hamo ont été d’une aide précieuse pour l'organisation de notre séjour. Transferts depuis Assouan puis vers Louxor, Tuktuk jusqu’au temple, réservation des billets pour le spectacle son et lumière, balade en bateau au coucher du soleil... des moments qui resteront gravés dans nos mémoires ! Merci pour tout 🙏❤️

We had a fantastic stay at New Abu Simbel Hotel. The property is beautiful, with charming Nubian-style décor that creates a warm and authentic atmosphere. Our stay was both pleasant and comfortable from start to finish.

Ali gave us a friendly welcome and was attentive throughout our visit, always making sure we were enjoying our stay. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, with a great variety and quality. Ali was also very accommodating, even offering to arrange a sunset boat trip and transportation to the night show. Although we declined due to our young kids being too tired, we really appreciated the thoughtful service.

Overall, a wonderful experience and a great place to stay in Abu Simbel.

Tout était parfait dans cet hôtel. Que ce soit l'accueil par le directeur, le service restauration, les chambres, les propositions de sortie (lever du soleil sur le lac Nasser et les temples), petites attentions avec mention spéciale à Mustafa, qui après la sortie sur le lac, nous a fait découvrir un café nubien délicieux où nous avons pu parler un peu avec les habitants d'Abu Simbel. Nous recommandons cet hôtel plus que vivement ! Nous y ramènerons des mais lors d'une prochain voyage. Encore merci à toute l'équipe. Ces deux jours ont été superbes grâce à vous !

If you come to Abu Simbel you must stay at this hotel! It is exceptional - beautifully decorated, extremely clean, comfortable rooms and bed (we had the best nights sleep here) What makes it perfect is Ali and his team are amazing and make your whole experience wonderful and seamless. They organised the light show and tuk tuk there and back. Also the boat ride in the morning was incredible, all organised by Ali. The food for dinner and breakfast was delicious and filling. The fruit juices are so fresh and yummy!

This hotel is THE place to stay in Abu Simbel. Not only does it give excellent value for money, but the onsite restaurant serves excellent meals, the staff are super friendly. You don't get any hassle from the staff, they are just very polite and look after your every need. The rooms are very good, with great aircon and a good bathroom. The showers provided hot water every time. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

So many people take a day trip to Abu Simbel from Aswan - DON'T DO THIS (it's a long 3-4 hours through the desert in each direction and you'll only have 1-2 hours at the temples at a time when they're overrun with hundreds of other doing the same thing).

Instead, STAY AT LEAST A NIGHT in Abu Simbel (we stayed for two, which was perfect, although we would've enjoyed a third in all honesty!) Then you'll have time for a sunset boat trip on Lake Nasser and you can go to the temples when they're quiet - we went twice and for our second visit, not long before closing time, we had the place almost to ourselves and even had a chance to lock Ramses II's entrance door! A third night would've meant we could've visited a Nubian village too.

And when you stay in Abu Simbel, STAY HERE - at the New Abu Simbel Tourist Hotel.

More than anything else we loved the welcome from the Nubian people here, they are lovely, warm and naturally friendly people, always looking to help, never pushy with no hard sell.

The facilities were also nice and comfortable, and the food was tasty and extremely good value.

The sunset boat trip on Lake Nasser was another highlight for us, the hotel organised it as a private tour (on a boat that could fit 20+ people!), well worth the 1000 EGP each.

Big thanks to everyone at New Abu Simbel, including Staffi, Hamo and the boss-man Mohammed 😀 and everyone else, including the ladies who worked hard to make up the rooms.

The staff was very kind and helpful.
Mohamed organized the transfer from/to Aswan, the guide to visit Abu Simbel, the tickets for light and sound show and the sunset boat in Lake Nasser.

Het hotel ligt niet ver van Abu Simbel. Wij gingen de tempel bezoeken en liepen te voet terug naar het hotel in 20 minuutjes. De eigenaar is zeer hartelijk en het personeel zeer vriendelijk. Wij kregen een upgrade van de kamer. De kamers zijn zeer netjes. De badkamer is klein. De airco in de kamers werkt goed. Je kan eten in het hotel. Het is niet slecht maar ook niet het beste dat we al gegeten hebben. Zeker een aanrader dit hotel als je een nacht in Aswan wil verblijven

We were badly let down by the Amon Guest House (see separate review) and hastily booked a room at the New Abu Simbel Hotel just a couple of hours before we were due to arrive. Within a few minutes, we received a very welcoming WhatsApp message from Hamo on the hotel reception. After a traumatic morning we felt a sense of relief that we would be in for a good stay!
And so it proved. On arrival, Mohammed, the owner, was there to greet us and welcome us to "our new home in Abu Simbel." We quickly went to see the temples and had the place almost to ourselves - all the day trippers have left by midday - which was an amazing experience. The following morning, Mohammed and Hamo were both up and ready at 5.45am to take us to the boat for a trip to see the sunrise bathe the temples in an amazing glow. Hamo even came with us on the boat. Staying overnight at Abu Simbel is definitely recommended.
Mohammed and his team have created a special place. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the restaurant is excellent - fresh fish from the lake in the evening and a lovely substantial breakfast after the morning boat trip. However the one thing that really sets it apart is the Nubian friendliness of every single member of staff. We stayed there one night, less than 24 hours, but we left as if we were saying goodbye to old friends. Don't hesitate, stay at the New Abu Simbel Hotel.
