New Abu Simbel Tourist Hotel

Het hotel ligt niet ver van Abu Simbel. Wij gingen de tempel bezoeken en liepen te voet terug naar het hotel in 20 minuutjes. De eigenaar is zeer hartelijk en het personeel zeer vriendelijk. Wij kregen een upgrade van de kamer. De kamers zijn zeer netjes. De badkamer is klein. De airco in de kamers werkt goed. Je kan eten in het hotel. Het is niet slecht maar ook niet het beste dat we al gegeten hebben. Zeker een aanrader dit hotel als je een nacht in Aswan wil verblijven

We were badly let down by the Amon Guest House (see separate review) and hastily booked a room at the New Abu Simbel Hotel just a couple of hours before we were due to arrive. Within a few minutes, we received a very welcoming WhatsApp message from Hamo on the hotel reception. After a traumatic morning we felt a sense of relief that we would be in for a good stay!
And so it proved. On arrival, Mohammed, the owner, was there to greet us and welcome us to "our new home in Abu Simbel." We quickly went to see the temples and had the place almost to ourselves - all the day trippers have left by midday - which was an amazing experience. The following morning, Mohammed and Hamo were both up and ready at 5.45am to take us to the boat for a trip to see the sunrise bathe the temples in an amazing glow. Hamo even came with us on the boat. Staying overnight at Abu Simbel is definitely recommended.
Mohammed and his team have created a special place. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the restaurant is excellent - fresh fish from the lake in the evening and a lovely substantial breakfast after the morning boat trip. However the one thing that really sets it apart is the Nubian friendliness of every single member of staff. We stayed there one night, less than 24 hours, but we left as if we were saying goodbye to old friends. Don't hesitate, stay at the New Abu Simbel Hotel.

Vlakbij de prachtige tempels van Abu Simbel ligt dit hotel. De eigenaar en ook de rest van het personeel zijn heel betrokken en klantvriendelijk. Kamers zijn keurig en schoon en eten is lekker, het ontbijt heel uitgebreid. Voor mijn vrouw’s verjaardag hadden ze speciaal een taart gebakken en er werd gezongen en gedanst.

From the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed by Ali & Hamo and the rest of the staff. I immediately felt at home in the Nubian culture. We only had one night there as we were visiting the temple but had lunch, dinner and breakfast - all of which were ample and enjoyable. The room was very comfortable and I can say I had my best night’s sleep there of my 13 nights in Egypt. The hotel was very good value for money but the outstanding aspect of our stay here is how much they make you feel welcomed. It’s not an act - they mean it from the heart. I am grateful to Ali and everyone for my stay and unreservedly recommend this hotel.

This Is a fantastic Place to stop in your Abu Simbel tour. Ali and the staff will take care of your transportation, meals, and everything there is to do in the area. Plus, they offer a very relaxing tour of Lake Nasser with an unmissable view of the temple at sunset! Highly recommended.

チェックイン時に、予約してるトリプルルーム（ベット3台）とは別に、景色の良いダブルルーム（ベット2台）を勧められました。2人で旅行していたのでどちらも良かったのですが、「２つの部屋を見てから決めて良いよ」と言われ、部屋まで連れて行ってくれ、結果湖を一望できるダブルルームに変更しました。（料金は一緒で）

アブシンベル神殿までのトゥクトゥク片道1ドル、ホテル併設のレストランはメニューに料金記載、アブシンベル神殿の夜のショーのチケットを正規価格で用意、朝ごはんは本当は7時からのところ5時半への変更（無料）、6時からのバス停までの送迎（無料）、などなど至れり尽くせりで色々やってくれました！！
また、一番良かったし驚いたのは、追加料金やチップを一切求められなかったことです！

正直カイロでのぼったくりタクシーやお土産屋の経験でエジプト人を疑ってましたが、このホテルの人たちは、こちらがチップを渡したくなるような人たちでした！！

日本語を話せるスタッフさんも多い、かつ日本人は英語があまり上手くないことも分かってくれているので、日本人にはぴったりのホテルだと思います！
