Bar man is a gentleman
Nothing
We went back to kouros home as we stayed in kouros exclusive in June. It was a last minute booking. We found out that the company is not run by the same team and you could tell that from when we arrived. The room was very large and spacious but had nowhere to put our clothes apart from a hanging rail. No units, we had to keep everything in the cases. No hooks to hang anything up ie towels etc. we had no sofa or chair in the room just a huge bed which was hard to get off / on. It was filthy. Had no mattress cover and there were hairs all over it. The breakfast was very poor mostly cold meat and eggs but very little on display. Toast croissants were also there. The two ladies looked totally bored who were serving and one of them was also the receptionist who was very stern . The pool area is beautiful and the saving grace is the bar man, he’s a delight. We were due to go back in June but unless it’s all upgraded we will be cancelling.
We stayed here from the 9th to the 19th of September, and I just want to say a huge thank you for giving us the best holiday in Rhodes that myself, my partner, my dad, and his partner have ever experienced. It was such a special occasion as we were celebrating their 60th, and this hotel really made it unforgettable.
First, a special thank you to the two lovely ladies in the restaurant. The food was absolutely amazing, and the way you looked after us with such kindness made our holiday feel extra special. We appreciate everything you did for us and hope we get to see you again next year—you’re both such warm and caring people.
I’d also like to thank the lady on reception, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable by upgrading our room. That thoughtful gesture really meant a lot to us—thank you so much, and hopefully we’ll see you again next year too!
The hotel itself is beautiful and perfectly located—just a 5-minute walk to the beach and around 10 minutes to the main street with plenty of restaurants. There are also two supermarkets just a few steps away and three good-sized car parks directly opposite, which was ideal as we rented a car.
Our room was spotless and cleaned every single day with fresh towels provided, which made our stay even more comfortable. It was so nice to come back to a beautifully tidy room each afternoon.
The food at the hotel was outstanding—huge portions and easily a 10/10 for taste! We usually like to eat out when on holiday, but the breakfasts here were so good we couldn’t resist coming back every morning. We didn’t try lunch, but it always looked delicious.
Thank you again to all the staff for making our holiday one to remember. We left with full hearts, so many happy memories, and already can’t wait to return next year!

Stayed here and had a nighttime flight, as we arrived there was no reception so we had to be let in by security guard who appeared to have no idea who we were. The room was not as advertised, our shower was dirty as well as the taps and dust and footprints all over the room as we arrived. The next morning we tried to shower and our main shower wasn’t working which we complained to reception about when they eventually turned up at 11am, she said she will send somebody to fix it, we then spent the whole day following up on the shower situation as I asked when somebody was going to fix the situation and got the response ‘I don’t know lady’ in a dismissive and rude tone. Then later on that day she then said we have to order a new part and you should just use the other shower head.
On the second night, our aircon broke so we rang the owner of the hotel, he then said he doesn’t know what the f he can do and brought us a huge industrial fan that made so much noise to the point we couldn’t sleep and had to complain to Tui. Even the appliances in the room are filthy, our hands were black after using a bottle opener that the room was equipped with.
The whole week all the cleaners done was make the bed and give us new towels. The staff are very rude. Also the woman in the breakfast area was coughing all over the bland food. Staff smoke in the reception area also it stunk. We didn’t have anywhere to store our luggage on checkout day just the main unattended reception that anybody can get into. Moreover, despite their low efforts to fix any of our problems( they were quick to tell us we to check out at 5 past 11 on checkout day as the cleaner just turned up in our room opening the door shouting checkout.
Worst and most unprofessional hotel I’ve ever stayed in with no order what so ever.
We chose Kouros Home & Suites because of the appealing description and photos on the website, but sadly the reality was very different.
Room & Accommodation
We booked a suite advertised as “with sea view, split over two levels, bedroom in the attic.” According to the manager, this room doesn’t even exist. Instead, we were given a simple ground-floor room – no charm, no separate levels, nothing like the photos.
Other issues included:
Internet barely worked, often not at all.
No curtain on a high window – daylight poured in from 6 a.m.
Poor cleanliness: long dark hairs found in towels.
TV did not work.
Breakfast was disappointing: very limited and low quality.
Overall hygiene far below acceptable standards.
Service & Safety
The reception was often left completely unattended, and our luggage was stored in an open area with no supervision – this felt very unsafe.
The worst part, however, was the treatment regarding the tourist tax (€28). Even though I had paid on arrival, the manager openly questioned my honesty, saying: “I will check the video to see if you’re telling the truth.” No apology followed, only the dismissive remark that she would “just pay it out of her own pocket.” This was unprofessional and insulting, and after that we felt other staff treated us in a similarly cold and dismissive manner.
Conclusion
This stay was nothing like what was promised. Misleading room descriptions, poor hygiene, technical issues, disappointing breakfast, and above all, rude and unprofessional management. This hotel has completely lost our trust and I strongly advise others not to book here.
What a beautiful stay at Kouros home and suites. The most kind staff, beautiful food and room. If you want a luxurious and relaxing experience, this is the place to be. 10/10 💛
Perfect! Wij hebben het mega naar ons zin gehad. Het was fijn om terug te komen in het hotel en daar de dag af te sluiten bij het zwembad. Personeel is super vriendelijk en gezellig. Zeker een aanrader
Great hotel and location for the beach. Lovely staff too.
Lo staff
Great first impressions, reception is clean and has super friendly and chatty staff. The lady showed us to our room and showed us how to use all the amenities including the safe and air con. We stayed in one of the suites and it was the best room we’ve ever stayed in with a lovely view of the pool. The balcony is perfect and shaded in the evening so perfect to chill on before going out for food.
The pool area is lovely, all the sun beds are comfy and there’s no one reserving sun beds early in the morning. We often got to the pool at about 10am and there were still plenty to choose from. The food and drinks at the pool bar were also nice and reasonable prices.
The location is about a 10-15 minute walk from the centre so it’s close enough to enjoy nightlife but also enough distance to not be to enjoy some quieter bars.
Definitely recommend to anyone looking to book in faliraki!
Everything the food, surroundings, room and staff were amazing they couldn’t do enough for us. So much so we checked in for another night. Would highly recommend 🤩
Nothing everything is excellent
Couldn’t fault a thing excellent staff warm n welcoming and nothing was too much trouble I highly recommend
Everything was excellent
The property looks very nice, one lady that works there with short blonde hair was the nicest and really made the stay so much nicer. The room was clean
We had a room with private pool which was disappointing because the water were freezing we couldn’t go in, the shower was also not good the water were going from cold to burning hot I told one of the women that works there about the pool and the shower and she just said there is nothing to do.
The location was fine it is close to a beach and about a 20 min walk to the centre of falriki were most of the restaurants.
The room was a good size and modern
The other guests weren't friendly and rude to the staff. The sun didn't shine in my balcony anytime of the day
It is a cute little boutique like hotel a little out of the way but next to a beautiful tranquil beach with crystal clear sea
The breakfast was just ok. Very little variety. Juice from a carton.
Appeared to be understaffed (unable to get a cocktail as barman was in hospital all week). The staff that were there would just spend their whole time on their phone and you would almost feel like an inconvenience to them if you interrupted to go to the bar to order a drink
The shower in my room was an absolute shambles - did not drain at all creating a mess all over the bathroom
Overall, I felt it was hugely overpriced for what it was
Amazing place in Faliraki- hotel located near Mandamata Beach, very friendly professional staff, tasty food for breakfast
I had no problems here, hope to come again back in next 2025 year
