Séjour agréable mais pas inoubliable.
Pros:

L’équipe est polie et aimable. À chaque fois nous avons obtenu de très bon conseils de leur part. L’agence dans l’hôtel sait se mettre en quatre pour proposer des excursions presque à moitié prix.

Cons:

Hôtel au charme désuet qui fait penser à ces hôtels de luxes pour la diaspora dans les années 80. Ne pas aller au restaurant le soir dans un salle déserte avec un pianiste et une choriste qui se donnent du mal pour un résultat moyen. L’eau de la piscine est un peu fraîche.

The location is close to shopping district, which is quite convenient for guests whoever would like to purchase souvenirs before heading back home.
Having such convenience doesn’t make the hotel noisy; instead, we seem stayed in a quiet community.

Staff was very kind and helpful. They gave us an upgrade to an executive suite, together with a bag full of drinks and treats, without us even asking for it!Very comfortable bed.

Cons:

Evening entertainment was very sparse. No waste paper basket in the salon. Central controls of lights, air-conditioning etc. next to the bed was very annoying.

Pros:

Excellent stay in a great Hotel! We had booked 2 rooms and we were very happy to be provided with 2 connected rooms. Both rooms were very spacious, and the mattresses (all topped with mattress toppers) were very soft and comfortable. The Hotel provided us with gift hampers also, which was very exciting and welcome!
The breakfast experience, in a large hall, with an impressive spread of food items, both hot and cold, was amazing. Staff, at the reception, in housekeeping, or in the breakfast hall, were very helpful and courteous. The interiors of the Hotel are very impressive and breathtaking. Cab and tuk-tuk drivers had no difficulty in dropping and picking us up from the Empress Premier (which is behind the Empress Hotel). Overall we had a great stay in Chiang Mai!

Cons:

The swimming pool is excellently located on the 5th floor of the hotel and is big and fun to use. A pity that on the days we stayed, the water in the pool was very cold, which definitely lowered our frolic levels! Can't the Hotel management order that the water temperature in the pool be maintained always somewhat warmer?
