Pros:

Clean and well equipped . Spacious room .

All good . There was a faint sound of music on a busy Sunday night but it stopped before midnight and was not loud enough to disturb us .

Loved the modern room and food, the noise from the road throughout the night not so much
Pros:

The room was very comfortable and modern and the family room had enough room for us all. Great facilities with a good choice of tea/coffee and luxury bathroom bits. The food in the restaurant was excellent, very tasty and the leak and potato soup was the best I've ever had - only if you like it spicy though!

Cons:

We didn't realise that as our room was in the attic and overlooking the road, we could hear ALL of the noise from the street, the people drinking outside, the cars screeching up the street at 2 in the morning and all of the people who'd had a lovely night out staggering the streets at silly o'clock in the morning. Not at all the fault of the hotel but I would encourage them to put in double glazing, espcially for a family room. Breakfast isn't included or available until 11am which is a shame as the food is so good here and we needed something to keep us going after a sleepless night.

Comfortable and convenient pub stay.
Pros:

Beautiful, recently remodeled pub. Everything was spotless. Very popular place for watching sports and getting a drink and a bite to eat. Centrally located near the town center and a short walk to train station. Helpful staff.

Cons:

If you are sensitive to noise, weekend nights can be loud because of music and street noise, but for us it was worth the trade off for the comfort and the convenience of the location. It didn’t keep us up or interfere with our sleep.

Pros:

Nice room.Good size.
Comfortable, clean everything you need.
Nice shower.
Good breakfast.

Cons:

Due to the central location I had to endure the noise from customers in nearby pubs who had spilled out onto the street, this continued right up to 2am which meant a disturbed night. I also have to question their no breakfast rule on Sunday. I was told it was because they needed time to prepare Sunday lunch. Don't most catering establishments do this and serve breakfast ?

Cons:

We have stayed at the Town Crier twice last year.on arrival this year, we didn't seem to have a warm welcome, only to be told our rooms were still be cleaned, which was no problem for us as we only wanted to leave our cases and come back for 3pm check in. The chap we saw said if we paid an additional £10 we could have early check in , it was now nearly 12pm and if we wanted a late checkout the following day that would be another £10 !
What is this all about, when making the booking there was no mention of these additional charges, but we didn't want them anyway, but everything seemed to be about money and not welcoming at all.

An absolute gem. Would 100% come back. Thank you
Pros:

What a gem of a find. Beautifully presented rooms. Bed linen and mattresses to die for. Soooooo comfortable. Right in the midst of things. Wonderful bathrooms. The Sunday roast looked incredibly popular. Sadly we had other plans. And a separate entrance was really handy.

Cons:

Nothing

Central, clean and comfortable!
Pros:

The property was central, close to everything needed. A wonderful bar and outdoor area.

Our room had a balcony which was excellent, it was clean and comfortable.

Cons:

Due to the balcony, the entire wall was windows / door. Only one of the electric blinds worked therefore, the sun woke us up from 5am!
