Old colonial style for a reasonable price
Pros:

Original colonial style. Felt authentic. Breakfast choice. Pots of tea.

Cons:

Not a dislike but it’s an old building and facilities are in need of some tlc. That has to be noted. But for the price it’s a great experience to see how the British lived in Nuwara Eliya.

A small boutique, colonial-style building right in the heart of the city.
Pros:

We didn’t book the hotel with breakfast as we planned to explore and try local food nearby. The bed was comfortable, and the water heater worked well.

The garden is truly beautiful — a big plus when travelling with kids, as it gives them space to run around instead of staying inside the room all the time. The accommodation itself has a lovely style, and the location is excellent, just a 2-minute walk from Victoria Park, the Old Post Office, and the Grand Hotel, making it very easy to get around the city on foot.

Cons:

nothing

Nice experience in a typical Newara Eliya Bungalow
Pros:

Very attentive staff in an authentic bungalow. Excellent food in on site restaurant which has to be ordered in advance. Breakfast was very good and plentiful.

Cons:

It was cold. Not the hotels fault but some heating is required in the common areas. A blow heater was provided for our room which we kept on constantly which was fine.

Pros:

Very charming and classic British-style architecture—the interiors felt like stepping into a movie. It's about a 10-minute walk to the Pink Post Office and only around 1.5 km from the lake. It's located on a small hill, away from the main street, so it's very quiet. The breakfast was tasty and the staff were really helpful.

An oasis of calm and beauty.
Pros:

As you arrive, you see a beautiful, white building, a single floor impressive arrangement.
The gardens are immaculate, we had afternoon tea and coffee in there after our trips and walks.
The staff are most helpful.
I am lactose intolerant and the chef went out of his way to cook what I could eat.
We could ask for dishes at lunchtime or for our evening meals.
We had lovely cocktails before dinner.
We walled to the wonderful Gregory’s Lake, the peaceful Victoria Park and into town.
Tuktuks are readily available for trips to the Tea Planations and glorious waterfalls.
Anything that concerned us at all, was dealt with swiftly and kindly.
Thank you.

Cons:

There was nothing that we did not like.
The decor is olde England, not all will like it, we did!
