Great place to stay
Pros:

Beautiful hotel. It is a lovely old colonial style building with superb gardens.The staff were very attentive. Breakfast very nice. We were upgraded to a massive room which we enjoyed very much.

An oasis of calm and beauty.
Pros:

As you arrive, you see a beautiful, white building, a single floor impressive arrangement.
The gardens are immaculate, we had afternoon tea and coffee in there after our trips and walks.
The staff are most helpful.
I am lactose intolerant and the chef went out of his way to cook what I could eat.
We could ask for dishes at lunchtime or for our evening meals.
We had lovely cocktails before dinner.
We walled to the wonderful Gregory’s Lake, the peaceful Victoria Park and into town.
Tuktuks are readily available for trips to the Tea Planations and glorious waterfalls.
Anything that concerned us at all, was dealt with swiftly and kindly.
Thank you.

The decor is olde England, not all will like it, we did!

Definitely a must try if you’re in Nuwara Eliya.
Pros:

The room and the bathroom sizes, cleanliness, hospitality, and a very cozy bed.
The Chef and the Hotel Manager nicknamed “Ash” is an amazing guy, a great hotel manager and a great cook.

Wonderful relaxing stay
Pros:

I had a wonderful stay here. My room was very elegant, stylishly furnished with an extremely comfortable bed. Excellent bathroom facilities. So very peaceful both inside and in the gorgeous garden. The staff were very professional, caring and helpful, contributing to the peaceful environment. And the food was delicious and well presented and served.

It was lovely and perfectly adiquate.

Very interesting. Loved the gardens. Staff were great and really helpful

Cons:

It was a bit tired. Not enough water for 2 showers first night. Breakfast was let’s say unusual.

Oud Engelse stijl landhuis, met zeer aardig personeel. Sfeervolle ambiance. Prachtig verzorgde tuin. Gunstig gelegen t.o.v. centrum.

Cons:

Hygiene in de eetzaal was matig. Matras ernstig aan vervanging toe, grote kuil in het midden.. Gordijnen versleten. Veel vergane glorie. Kan opknapbeurt goed gebruiken

An elegant return to the past
Pros:

The staff are lovely and very helpful. The gardens are absolutely fantastic, and the house is very much of the faded elegance style which was what we wanted. Also the location next to Victoria Park was very convenient.

Cons:

Nothing much at all, it’s opposite a large girls school, which is noisy in the mornings at school run time, but it didn’t bother us.
