Location and staff
Beyond outdated, not charming. Dirty carpets, dirty sheets, ancient spring mattresses. Sheets smelled musty and like urine. Dust everywhere. Layers of cobwebs on bathroom “skylight”, tiny old television, lumpy old pillows.
balcony was beautiful and view was great! location was perfect to down town
I am not really into historic hotels as I would prefer a modern room
It's impossible to beat the location of this hotel. And the balcony is awesome. This is a historic hotel, so if you are expecting all the modern conveniences this isn't it. But if you want history, lots to do within a short walk, and a hotel that's a quaint, this is it. Already looking forward to going back some day!
The bed was a tad squeaky, but comfortable. Otherwise, this hotel was perfect and my girlfriend adored the place ... so bit win for me picking out the Park Plaza!
Great location in town. Walking distance to Tiffany museum and great restaurants.
Vintage hotel with nice balcony for morning coffee and people watching.
Everything was wonderful.
Right on street so there was some traffic and train noise but nothing too loud.
Breakfast was at the restaurant next door. It was quite good.
The room was tiny and depressing. There was no coffee maker, let alone hair dryer, refrigerator etc. If we had been given one of the less depressing rooms ( which we passed at check up as they were being cleaned), we might have not cared about the lack amenities because of charm. The staff was very lovely. However, I was asked if I would mind a room with 2 beds rather than a king. They didn’t say it was one twin and one double - not even a queen and that there would not even be a chair in the room because it was so small.
Very old Hotel with a lot of history
Was not aware of $30.00 valet charge. Room was warm unless you were directly under fan
Location on main street
Paper thin walls
The location and staff are exceptional.
With the exception of the bathroom and bedding it was very dirty-as in neglected.
The first thing I noticed when I arrived was the dirty carpet smell and appearance. There were dust bunnies all over (corners, behind bed frame, along all baseboards etc.).
Mold growing on pvc leading to the AC unit.
The furniture was delightfully old but sadly chipped and in need of polish or paint.
Honestly, it was the condition in which I would have expected a budget hotel in a marginal neighborhood.
The location is amazing. You can’t beat it and we had a room with a balcony.
They have Valet but we attended a conference and had to leave at 6:30 am. We were told we had to get our own car. They charge you 28 dollars a day. We walked 3 blocks to get it.
The rooms are small like bed and breakfast type. The bathroom is really small. With no mirrors bad lighting. It’s not totally bad but just not for us. If you’re looking for location then this is the place.
