Serene and happy days
Pros:

The house is more beautiful in real life than in the photos. The social areas are comfortable and so well designed that I spent a long time admiring the different spaces and decorative details. The food was fabulous, and the menu is very varied. The room was very comfortable and beautiful. I found it very unique, and the best part is that each room at the house is different. We hope to return very soon.

Absolutely breathtaking
Pros:

I stayed in this beautifully restored colonial house and absolutely loved it. The interior design is exquisite, every detail reflects Cartagena’s charm and elegance with a touch of modern pieces. Being in the historic center , hearing the sounds in the street, was charming. The street is quiet and peaceful, offering a perfect retreat after exploring the city. The service was attentive and warm throughout my stay. Truly a hidden gem....I would return in a heartbeat!

Amazing hotel, our new favourite!
Pros:

I loved everything about this place, even better in real life than the photos! The rooms were spacious, cool, and incredibly comfortable, perfect to come back to after a hot day in Cartagena. The location couldn’t be better, just steps away from great shops, lively restaurants, and places to dance the night away. It has so much charm showing art, colonial architecture and come with all the comfort of a boutique hotel. We hope to return soon!

We stayed at Casa de la Renta by Mystique for two nights in June and absolutely fell in love. The hotel is full of charm — beautifully restored with a perfect mix of colonial elegance and modern comfort. Our room was peaceful and stylish, and every corner of the hotel felt like a quiet oasis in the heart of Cartagena.

The staff were genuinely kind and attentive, always ready to help with a warm smile. The rooftop pool was a highlight — watching the sunset over the city from up there was unforgettable.

It’s a truly special place that feels personal and luxurious at the same time. We left feeling completely relaxed and already dreaming of coming back!

A Magical Stay at Casa de la Renta – Cartagena’s Hidden Gem

We stayed at Hotel Casa de la Renta this June, and it was without a doubt one of the nicest places we’ve ever experienced. Nestled in a quiet, charming street in the old town of Cartagena, the location is perfect—peaceful, yet just around the corner from vibrant streets filled with boutiques, shops, and a wide array of restaurants. At night, the entire area comes alive with music, dance, and the unique energy that defines Cartagena. Simply walking around and soaking in the atmosphere was a joy in itself.

The hotel, both outside and inside, is absolutely beautiful. The interior design is truly a work of art—blissful, tasteful, and inspiring. Every room is uniquely decorated with incredible attention to detail, even down to the bathrooms, which are stunning. The quality of the furnishings, the beds, and the bath products was exceptional. Just exploring the house felt like wandering through a living gallery.

One of our favorite spots was the upper terrace on the top floor—perfect for enjoying a drink in the evening, catching the ocean breeze, and admiring the view of the beautifully lit dome of the nearby church. During the day, we loved sunbathing on the comfortable loungers surrounded by colorful bougainvillea, with a convenient shower to cool off. There’s also a lovely pool on the main floor, complete with an integrated jacuzzi.

The hotel also helped arrange several wonderful activities for us based on our interests. We took guided walks through both the old town and the newer areas, where we admired street art and learned about the city’s architectural history from a knowledgeable historian. Another highlight was a private sunset boat ride along the coast, as well as a full-day trip out to the nearby islands to relax on the beach.

All in all, Casa de la Renta is a true gem—stylish, comfortable, and full of character. We had an incredible time and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommended!
